Updated: Monday, January 7, 2013, 11:01 [IST] | OneIndia — On a rare note, Veena Malik is not in the news for wrong reasons rather hitting headlines for a surprising, may be a stunning reason for many. She is neither garnering attention for her glamorous avatars nor bold statements. Well, the Pakistani actress has taken a spiritual route to find peace! Yes, Veena Malik is currently reading a holy book.

The surprising part is that the actress is reading the Bhagavad Gita, which could definitely shut the mouths of voices that were opposing her presence in India for her Pakistani background with the Islam connection. Especially, it could silence Sri Rama Sene, which has been holding protest in Karnataka after she was signed for Kannada film Dirty Picture:  Silk Sakkath Maga.
Veena Malik was recently spotted reading the Bhagavad Gita on the sets of her forthcoming film. During the breaks, she was seen reading it. After the recent Delhi gang rape incident, which shocked the entire nation, she has taken the spiritual route to attain peace of mind and to get justice for the innocent girl.

Nice to see Veena Malik reading Srila Prabhupada’s Gita. That is the 1982 BBT changed version, changed massively. The painting on the cover of Krsna wielding a whip instead of a conch shell is not preferred by most world wide devotees. Some one please get her an original reprint of the 1972 edition, that is the edition that Srila Prabhupada preferred and taught from, the BBT has some and so does Krsna Books Inc. Here is the original Gita web site to read on line asitis.com.

    Hare Krsna

    Hasti Gopala Dasa

Not only is http://asitis.com/ highly commercialized, but it is a bogus version of Bhagavad Gita As It Is because the Sanskrit diacritics are missing. Use http://causelessmercy.com/?P=Bg or http://bhagavad-gitaasitis.com/ instead.
