Bans are a far reaching, blessing in disguise.

In the world of duality, encompassing happiness and distress, a ban is defined in the Cambridge dictionary as, “to forbid something, especially officially,” and, is universally perceived as something horrible that invokes lamentation in us. A ban can be even more excruciating when we feel it is unrighteously enforced upon us or some other persons, unprovoked and unlawfully. This vikarma, (unauthorized or sinful work, performed against the injunctions of revealed scriptures), known as a ban, is a betrayal against The Supreme Lord Sri Krsna, His inferior energy known as the material creation, and His marginal energy, the aspiring servants of a bona-fide servant. Anyway it is looked at it is a transgression directly aimed at Him and Him alone, since everything is His. But, it is not a new tactic, as it has been used as policy throughout the annals of history. Yes, this type of behavior surfaces at different times, at different places and on different planets with varying consequences to the initiators.

Examples from the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradya’s Literature present us prominent examples of such occurrences. One is of the five Pandava brothers, Their mother, Queen Kunti and Their wife, Srimati Draupadi all being kicked out of Their kingdom for 12 years by Dhtarastra and his entourage. The four Sanat-kaumaras also experienced this type of un-Vaisnava etiquette, being barred from entering into the Kingdom of Visnu by His gatekeepers Jaya and Vijaya, after they passed through the first six gates unchecked. Dhruva Maharaja too experienced this type of behavior, being “banned” from His fathers lap by His step Mother who He looked at like His own Mother. Sri Garuda was banned from the Yamuna by Saubhari Muni and, even The Supreme Lord Himself, appearing as Lord Ramacandra was banished to the forest, having to leave His Ayodha. All of these above mentioned instances involving bans seem to be contradictions to Dharma, and yes, this is true, they are, to some degree or another.

Yes, in this pathetic prison of mortal existence, distinguished by elaborate, fictitiously concocted divisions, wherein worship of infamy, false profits/prophets, imaginary distinctions and the ghastly adoration of these atrocious traits are standardized, the culprits cultivating this ridiculousness, the immediate person or persons taking part in/supporting such banning/barring activities, are usually projecting their viewpoint of self-aggrandized superiority. This leads them to enacting/enforcing bans, that manifest as trying to encroach upon another’s property, and/or lording over another’s freedoms or rights. This is the not so glamorous, but highly intoxicating inferior energy of Sri Krsna known as the false ego, inflated and instigated by the polluted mind, which jumps over and around the intelligence, rearing it’s obnoxious and repulsive tendencies of “I,” “Me,” “My,” and “Mine.” This unholy duet of a rotting mind and false ego, infiltrates and suffocates ones’ intelligence, and these two rascals are the last and most difficult propensity of our material life to assassinate.

But, despite this non-Vaisnava characteristic exhibited of banning/barring, in all the cases from the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya-Sampradaya literature mentioned above, the result of these actions leveled against pure devotees and also the Lord Ramacandra, led the instigators transgressing Dharma to either falldown from an exalted position, was an event in a series of unfortunateness that led to the cataclysmic destruction of the parties and the followers who supported and implemented that ideology, led to a pure devotee and Acarya, Sri Narada Muni appearing and ultimately the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Narayana appearing, led to The Absolute Truth Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krsna appearing to subdue Kaliya and his poisonous discharges, or, in the case of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Ramacandra, it paved the way for Him to complete other pastimes involving annihilating many miscreants and delivering His devotees. Yes, Lord Krsna certainly knows everything, past, present and future, as not even a blade of grass moves without his approval. And from studying such pastimes of the Supreme Lord and His pure devotees, every single time a banning or barring of His pure devotees occur throughout history, the pure devotees love of Krsna increased unlimitedly, and ultimately, the bans were countered magnificently by Lord Sri Krsnas’ Supreme will.

This deeper understanding, regarding unlawful bans, has elaborately been explained vividly by the all-ways living Acaryas, and lucky for us, most recently by the current Acarya of Lord Brahmas’ Sampradaya, His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. In a class on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.2.26, November, 6, 1972, Srila Prabhupada mentions,

“So I explained that violence means if you have got some right, and if somebody by force stops you to utilize your right, that is violence. That is violence. I have got some right to take something, so, or enter in some room, and if somebody checks me by force, that “You cannot enter,” that is violence, and it is criminal.”

Hmmmmm…..So, we already know, due to Srila Prabhupada’s surrender to His Guru Maharaja, that He sees through the eyes of His Divine Grace Om Visnupada Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Gosvami Maharaja, and according to Him, He states this impediment, the malicious attempting to halt our progression of utilizing our constitutional right as an eternal servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, as an act of violence and it is criminal. Who, i may ask, in their sane state of being, would tell another soul that they could not enter a Srila Prabhupada erected temple to Sri Sri Radha Govinda and serve Him and Them, in whatever menial capacity they were qualified to do, like singing the holy names, wiping down mats, scrubbing pots and pans, or in picking through and separating different grades of rubbish and then taking it out to the dumpster ? Really ? Last time i checked, somebody please correct me if i am speculating or brain dead, please; this is the only reason why Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya had Them built. To purify forgetful, miscreant souls, like me, and also others who were lost, by allowing us to give some service to Him and Sri Sri Radha Govinda, with love and devotion, no matter how lowly or dirty the task is/was, or the lack of noble skills we possess, so that we could, in the end, return back Home, Back to Godhead.

But now whoever comes to their newly inaugurated, updated, revised, and astonishingly shrunken, for members only, country club, pretending to be a sanctuary dedicated to Sri Sri Radha Govinda, is scrutinized closely to see if they are mesmerized by all the external paraphernalia, wishy washy flowery language, and the overall blind following mentality culminating at bowing down to some kali worshiping, lower than any animal, mudhas, posing as so-called authorities, who are actually unnecessarily deceased, and who by mayavadic and black magic inspired methods, became self-made gods and gods representatives through a 2/3 raising of hands vote or less, by other similar corpses. In that place, if one is observed to not to goose step to their ecclesiastical death tune, be awed by their materialistic influenced diatribes, nor fall flat at their heathenistic/hedonistic feet, then we must leave the premises immediately and are prohibited to return, and if we resist this ultimatum by disseminating Srila Prabhupadas Vani as a counteracting defense measure, which works immensely, then the next threat is to be removed by physical methods.

“The atheist class, demons, they are always envious of the devotees. That is the law of nature.” (Srila Prabhupada class on Sri Isopanisad, Los Angelse – May 03, 1970.)

Wow, how times have changed. Well as we all know, because the demons are envious of Srila Prabhupada Himself, of Sri Sri Radha Govinda and of the aspiring devotees of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Radha Govinda, this has happened alot, and is still happening alot, as some of us, due to not surrendering our intelligence, have had an all too familiar experience.

Even Srila Prabhupada experienced something like this to a certain degree during His attempt to carry out Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja’s requests. Any yes, during that entire endeavor, He was protected by His Guru Maharaja, His Divine Grace Om Visnupada Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur and, of course, Sri Krsna. As Srila Prabhupada stated in regards to this on a morning walk on February 3, 1975, in Hawaii, [750203mw.haw]

Devotee (1): We can understand all of your instructions simply by reading your books.

Prabhupada: Yes. Anyway, follow the instruction. That is required. Follow the instruction. Wherever you remain, it doesn’t matter. You are secure. Follow the instruction. Then you are secure anywhere. It doesn’t matter. Just like I told you that I saw my Guru Maharaja not more than ten days in my life, but I followed his instruction. I was a grhastha, I never lived with the Matha, in the temple. It is practical. So many Godbrothers recommended that “He should be in charge in this Bombay temple, this, that, that…” Guru Maharaja said, “Yes, better he lives outside. That is good, and he will do what is needed in due course of time.”

Prabhupada: He said like that. I could not understand at that time what does he expect. Of course, I knew that he wanted me to preach.”

So have no worries about all these demonic shenanigans. Why one may ask ? Well, if Srila Prabhupada expresses His Divine opinion of these actions as “violence” and “criminal” and also states to “follow the instruction. That is required. Follow the instruction. Wherever you remain, it doesn’t matter. You are secure. Follow the instruction. Then you are secure anywhere. It doesn’t matter” then we should do just that which was stated three times, Follow the instruction, because then we are secure, anywhere. Anyone who has been banned from serving Sri Sri Radha Govinda in Their Abode along with Srila Prabhupada, that Srila Prabhupada built for the entire world, should beg for the strength to not lament over the perceived wrongdoings against us, but be given the understanding to rejoice because we are secure anywhere by following the instructions. Queen Kunti has this understanding perfected, praising Lord Krsna for all difficulties placed upon Her, Srimati Draupadi and Her Sons, because, as soon as disturbances arose against Them, Sri Krsna appeared immediately to resolve the problem, thus increasing Her love and devotion. And resolve the problem He did, and does.

“So Nārada met Kṛṣṇa. His devotee, he could speak Kṛṣṇa with little criticism, “My dear Sir, Kṛṣṇa, by becoming Your devotee the Pāṇḍavas are very happy. They have lost their kingdom. Their wife is insulted. And now they are banished for twelve years. So it is very good thing. [laughter] But the wonderful thing I see, now, in spite of all these inconveniences, they have increased their love for You.” So Nārada, he is astonished, “What kind of hypnotism you do, I do not know. [laughter] In spite of being placed in so much inconveniences, their love for You has increased.” That is the position of Pāṇḍavas. This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Tat te ‘nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇaḥ [SB 10.14.8]. The devotee, pure devotee, if they are put into difficulty they take it, “Oh, it is Kṛṣṇa’s grace. It is Kṛṣṇa’s grace.” Tat te ‘nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṁ vipākam. They take it in this way, “Kṛṣṇa, I was to suffer hundred times more than this due to my bad activities in my past life, but You are giving me a little out of it. So it is Your grace.” So devotee never takes any… Therefore nārāyaṇa-paraḥ sarve na kutaścana bibhyati: [SB 6.17.28] “One who has become nārāyaṇa-paraḥ, Kṛṣṇa conscious, he’s never afraid of any condition of life.” Bhagavad-gītā also, Kṛṣṇa says, yasmin sthito na duḥkhena vicālyate: “If one is situated in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, then he’s never disturbed.” Guruṇāpi duḥkhena: [Bg. 6.20-23] “If he’s put in the severest type of difficulty, he’s never…” Just see the Pāṇḍavas. That is the effect of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. ”

We should internalize these lessons from our most glorious and perfectly pure devotee ancestors, along with the enlightening guidance from our Eternal Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada, and aspire to become completely blissed out in trance, like Queen Kunti and the Pandavas, like Srila Prabhupada, to our personal obligation of complete surrender at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga, as She, They and He, are to Sri Krsna. we, like Them, have to acknowledge at some point that we are currently being protected from the kamsa, the kali, their followers and their demoniacal influence currently residing in the Temples, as the Pandavas are continually being protected from Dhtarastra and his reprehensible activities.

As far as the invaders, plunderers and occupiers of Srila Prabhupdas’ Temples go, Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Nityananda Prabhu, being the most merciful avataras of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, are freely giving Their darshan to those super hateful lost souls, a once in an 8,600,000,000 years and once in an 8,400,000 species of life, opportunity, to finally be purified, by being in Their ambience with Srila Prabhupada, as only They and Srila Prabhupada, have to power to dismantle such extremely evil, envious states of being.

So this banning, as difficult as it is to deal with, and even though violent and criminal, is a far-reaching blessing in disguise, as it has been enacted by the Cause of all Causes, Sri Krsna, to protect us, removing us from the most severe warfare against the most resentful, demoniacal, nirvesesa, sunyavadi, prakrita sahajiya infected mentalities in the world, in the universe, that in one way or another, They are going to destroy, and we should not be disturbed. Ultimately, this banning in the short and long run has permitted and allowed many of us to participate in another form of service, service to the actual Acarya, Srila Prabhupada, by following the instructions, which is the only way to please Sri Govinda. Who woulda thunk that up? Sri Krsna, that’s who. Yes, our humble attempts to serve and to please Srila Prabhupada by following His Instructions in totality, and in distributing His unchanged genius in the form of the Vedic Literature He compiled for world consumption, has allowed us to interact and re-introduce many in the karmi world who aren’t envious and jealous, but who have forgotten, who and what the Supreme Lord Himself and His Authentic Representative actually look like, how They talk, how They sit, how They move, how They eat, how They conduct every and all affairs.

As Srila Prabhupada stated in New York, September 18, 1966 while giving a class on Bhagavad-gita As It Is, 6.40-43, (yes He was giving this ancient knowledge As It Is even before Bhagavad-gita As It Is exploded onto the scene of nescience in 1972) about the Real members of His society He founded,

“Now, Lord says, tatra taṁ buddhi-saṁyogaṁ labhate paurva-dehikam: [Bg. 6.43] “In his previous birth, in his previous body, whatever he cultured, now he begins to remember.” He begins to remember. I may tell you that those who have taken this society, Kṛṣṇa consciousness, very seriously, they are not ordinary persons. They must have had such culture in their previous life. Now they are again trying to revive that thing………. He gives reminders = “Yes. You missed this point from here. Now come on. Begin again. Be perfect. Don’t lose this chance.” He is so kind. Smṛtir jñānam. He is giving knowledge, remembrance.”

Yes, Srila Prabhupada is speaking the 100 % truth. we, as a collective, those who are adamantly fighting on behalf of Srila Prabhupada, “must have had such culture in” our “previous life” and “are again trying to revive that thing,” and Sri Krsna, “is giving knowledge, remembrance” to “begin again” from the point we missed, and providing it all in a safe environment away from the blue dyed, howling, rabies infested jackals. That point i, and maybe we, (i don’t want to step too far nor speculate about others), seemed to have missed then, isn’t being missed now. Which means, it doesn’t encompass anything contradictory to, mocking of, or posing as, the pure Representative/s of Sri Krsna, like the worldwide Founder-Acarya of Lord Caitanyas’ movement, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Srila Prabhupada, for, we need to know our role, we must know our humble role.

“Sanction is always there. Without sanction, nothing can be done. So one who is in Kṛṣṇa consciousness he knows. He’s tattva-vit. Tattva-vit means one who knows the truth, that “I cannot do anything without Kṛṣṇa’s sanction.” Therefore he does not do anything. Whatever is sanctioned by Kṛṣṇa he does; otherwise not.” (Srila Prabhupada class on Bhagavad-gita As It Is, New York August 27,1966)

And due to this submissive attitude to obey Lord Krsnas sanctions, the banned/barred individuals, by taking Srila Prabhupadas’ instructions about a bona-fide Krsna conscious society very, very seriously, and trying not to “lose this chance” are furthering their progress in Krsna consciousness, and also attempting to dispense this imperishable truth of Krsna consciousness to their non-envious siblings, all-the-while Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krsna in unison are both protecting in an unlimited, and sometimes unseen, unrecognizable to the masses, fashion. Yoga maya ki Jai ! Yoga maya ki Jaiiiiiiiiiii !

“Those who are in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he does not expect any result of his work. “Oh, I am doing this work. So I will enjoy this result.” That never comes. That never comes in the mind of a person who is Kṛṣṇa conscious. He doesn’t mind. He doesn’t think of any result. Yuktaḥ karma-phalaṁ tyaktvā. And that is the source of peace. Śāntim āpnoti naiṣṭhikīm. Naiṣṭhikīm. He’s always confident that “I am engaged in Kṛṣṇa’s duty. So I am protected. So what is the result I do not mind. I do not mind.” (Srila Prabhupada class on Bhagavad-gita As It Is, New York August 27,1966)

For this entirely causeless mercy They have bestowed, we should be above and beyond grateful and obedient; and should continue to stoke our fire of love and devotion to Srila Prabhupada and Lord Sri Krsna, fanning the flames within and without, increasing its combustibility, by exhibiting enthusiasm, confidence and determination, patience, piety and austerity according to the regulative principles, abandoning the association of non-devotees, and following the in the footsteps of the previous, and current, Acarya/s, therefore, and all-the-while, recklessly accelerating forward Their mission of spreading Krsna consciousness, with a frightening, lightning flavored pace. The sirens of silence are sounding, the transcendental transform mutations refuse to subside, the wick is relit, we all have a mission to execute, we all have a role to perfect. “And that is the source of peace.”

Long Live Lord Caitanya ! Long Live Lord Nityananda ! Long Live Srila Prabhupada !
