Prithu – the abusive nature of a guru cheat, Part IV

Prithu das - Peter Brinkmann

Prithu’s offensive nature displayed towards his own guru, whom he has rejected.

VNN EDITORIAL, Nov 30 — Prthu das (Prithu) confessed that he is ready to reject Srila Prabhupada, if the final [ritvik] order is true.

By rejecting Srila Prabhupadas Ritvik order, Prithu das has not only rejected his own guru, but also disqualifies as a bonafide disciple, what to speak of acting as spiritual master.

He is admitting his readiness to reject Srila Prabhupada as vedic authority, therefore he is ready to leave Iskcon. Surely he does not propose that Srila Prabhupada leave Iskcon, neither should he propose that sincere disciples of Srila Prabhupada should leave (although many are forced to do so). It is becoming clear that he and others who continue to defy SrilaPrabhupada’s authority, are now ready to leave Iskcon and start their own ashram. This is good. Iskcon is only for those who follow Srila Prabhupada and have faith in him. Others with mentality as above are not for Iskcon, especially those who are in control of Iskcon as leaders. They should go elsewhere. This is putting it politely. We do not even want to see the face of such a person.

Srila Prabhupada: “Yes. I shall recommend some of you. After this is settled up. I shall recommend some of you to act as officiating acarya.”
Tamala Krishna Maharaja: “Is that called ritvik-acarya?”
Srila Prabhupada: “Ritvik. Yes.”

“Srila Prabhupada indicated that soon He would appoint some of His senior disciples to act as ritvik – representative of the acarya, for the purpose of performing initiations, both first initiation and second initiation.
The newly initiated devotees are disciples of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad, the above eleven senior devotees acting as His representative. After the Temple President receives a letter from these representatives giving the spiritual name or the thread, he can perform the fire yajna in the temple as was being done before. The name of a newly initiated disciple should be sent by the representative who has acceted him or her to Srila Prabhupada, to be included in His Divine Grace’s “Initiated Disciples” book.”

The above is cited from the Original Letter Of July 9, 1977 of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, his originally signed and approved paper for appointing some of His senior disciples to act as ritvikrepresentative of the acarya.

By rejecting Srila Prabhupadas Ritvik order, Prithu das has not only rejected his own guru, but also disqualifies as a bonafide disciple, what to speak of acting as spiritual master.

Srila Prabhupada: “If you become disobedient to guru, then your business is finished. Because that is offense. Guror avajna. First offense is guror avajna, defying the authority of guru. This is the first offense. So one who is offensive, how he can make advance in chanting? He cannot make. Then everything is finished in the beginning. Guroravajna. Everything is there. If one is disobeying the spiritual master, he cannot remain in the pure status of life. He cannot be siksa-guru or anything else. He is finished, immediately.” (Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad-gita Lecture, July 4th, 1974)

The devotee must therefore be very careful not to commit offenses against the spiritual master by disobeying his instructions. As soon as one is deviated from the instructions of the spiritual master, the uprooting of the bhakti-lata begins, and gradually all the leaves dry up.” (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Madhya-lila, 19.156, purport)

Self-made guru cannot be guru. HE MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY THE BONA FIDE GURU . Then he’s guru. This is the fact…Similarly, bona fide guru means he must be authorized by the superior guru.” (SP NOD Lecture, October 31. 1972)

“However, one should not imitate the behavior of an advanced devotee or mahabhagavata without being self-realized, for by such imitation one will eventually become degraded. The devotee should also know his own position and should not try to imitate a devotee situated on a higher platform.” (Nectar of Instruction , Text 5, purport)

Prithu’s True Colors Finally Revealed
BY RADHA KRISHNA DAS

Prithu das (Prthu) to reject Srila Prabhupada

EDITORIAL, Nov 30 (VNN)Prthu das (Prithu) confessed that he is ready to reject Srila Prabhupada, if the final order is true. What we learn from this revelation, is this:

1. They are finally beginning to admit that Srila Prabhupada may have ordered a ritvik system after departure. This possible fact is finally becoming manifest in their consciousness. And now he and possibly others are ready to reject Srila Prabhupada as a last ditch resort to continue their bogus gurusystem.

3. Prithu and other gurus continue to scream about the “vedic authority of sastra” as if they are the true and only knowers of sastra, and now they know even more than Srila Prabhupada about sastra.

a. Yet he and other gurus have yet to produce any vedic evidence that forbids a ritvik system after departure. They have yet to produce vedic evidence for the theory that a diksa guru must be physically present, when so many direct quotes are given by reform devotees that establishes the very opposite conclusion.

b. They have yet to produce vedic evidence to clarify their “eternal principles of parampara.” Which incidentally, we are becoming aware that all these arguments are coming from the Gaudiya Math, when they went to “higher authorities” in 77, and they never give Srila Prabhupada’s arguments on Gurutattva even today, only Gaudiya Math’s arguments. This is quite peculiar.

c. They have yet to produce vedic evidence to support their bogus fallen-guru-siddhanta.

d. They have yet to produce sastra to support how a bona fide guru can be voted in by a body who has no authority to authorize such a guru.

e. They have yet to produce firm evidence from sastra to establish their bogusre-initiation system.

4. They continue to espouse the “vedic authority” as if they are the sole knowers of sastric conclusion, yet they continue to ignore constant remindersof how they blantantly defy the sastra on guru tattva.

a. They continue to ignore Cc quotes that tell us that only the predecessor guru can authorize a diksa guru. They claim to be diksa guru, but are yet to come up with any evidence that Srila Prabhupada has authorized any of them to be diksa guru.

b. They defy sastric evidence, and Srila Prabhupada’s statements that a diksa guru must have very high qualifications to be a diksa guru. (Although according to them now, we cannot accept Srila Prabhupada as supreme authority any more, because we are not really sure if he is representing the vedic conclusions, which is solely known by bogus gurus of Iskcon. By the way, Srila Prabhupada does not teach Vedic conclusions, rather he teaches Krishna Consciousness, there is a difference. We are not Vedic, rather we are trying to be Krishna Consciousness, which means obeying the acharya.)

c. They continue to ignore the Cc verse that says, “only a mahabhagavata can be worshipped as good as Lord Hari.” Like, how can they claim to be a diksa guru, with this mandate clearly stated? When history has shown that many such “maha bhagavatas” have proven themselves to be less than the vedic standard of a human being, ie, following 4 regulative principles. Yet they think that they know more than Srila Prabhupada on the Vedic conclusion? Such rascaldom! Yes, this is very good that they are finally showing their true colors, that they are ready to admit the extent of how they are prepared to defy SrilaPrabhupada’s final authority, and now they are ready to reject Srila Prabhupada and leave Iskcon for good. Good! When they are finally gone, then the true followers of Srila Prabhupada’s authority will finally take over and Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon will finally get back on track. Hare Krishna!

Begging to remain,
your simple servant

Prithu not following the regulative principles, falling down…..

“Regarding Sydney, that the President has left, if one does not follow the regulative principles, then he will leave. That is a fact. Has somebody else been elected? This is the function of the GBC, to see that one may not be taken away by maya. The GBC should all be the instructor gurus. I AM in the INITIATOR GURU, and you should be the instructor guru by teaching what I am teaching and doing what I am doing. This is not a title, but you must actually come to this platform. This I want.” (Srila Prabhupada Letter to Madhudvisa, August 4, 1975)

Prithu as self-appointed acharya, might be carried away

“..The spiritual master must never be carried away by an accumulation of wealth or a large number of followers. A bona fide spiritual master will never become like that. But sometimes, if a spiritual master is not properly authorized, and only on his own initiative becomes a spiritual master, he may be carried away by an accumulation of wealth and large numbers of disciples. His is not a very high grade of devotional service. If a person is carried away by such achievements, then his devotional service becomes slackened. One should, therefore, strictly adhere to the principles of disciplic succession….”

Prithu’s spiritual master business

“The pseudo religionists have neither knowledge nor detachment from material affairs, for most of them want to live in the golden shackles of material bondage under the shadow of philanthropic activities disguised as religious principles.

“They ignore the Vedic injunction acaryaupsana – “One must worship the acarya” – and Krsna’s statement in the Bhagavad-gita (4.2) evam parampara-praptam, “This supreme science of God is received through the disciplic succession.” Instead, to mislead the people in general they themselves become so-called acaryas, but they do not even follow the principles of the acaryas.

The fate of false gurus such as Prithu

“By a false display of religious sentiments, they present a show of devotional service while indulging in all sorts of immoral activities. In this way they pass as spiritual masters and devotees of God. Such violators of religious principles have no respect for the authoritative acaryas, the holy teachers in the strict disciplic succession (…) Instead, to mislead the people in general, they themselves become so-called acaryas, but do not even follow the principles of the acaryas.”

These rogues are the most dangerous elements in human society. Because there is no religious government, they escape punishment by the law of the state. They cannot, however, escape the law of the Supreme, who has clearly declared in the Bhagavad-gita that envious demons in the garb of religious propagandists shall be thrown into the darkest regions of hell (Bg. 16.19-20). Sri Isopanisad confirms that these pseudo religionists are heading toward the most obnoxious place in the universe after the completion of their spiritual master business, which they conduct simply for sense gratification.” ( from Srila Prabhupada’s Sri Isopanasad Mantra 12 )

The fate of disciples following a bogus guru such as Prithu

“As for your next question: ‘Can only a few pure devotees deliver others?’ Anyone, if he is pure devotee, he can deliver others. He can become spiritual master. But unless he is on that platform, he should not attempt it. Then they will both go to hell , like blind men leading the blind.” (Letter to Tusta Krishna from Ahmedabad , Dec. 14, 1972)

One cannot become happy by accepting a false guru. A guru should be accepted as advised in Srimad Bhagavatam (11.3.21). Tasmad gurum prapadyeta jijnasuh sreya uttamam: One should approach a bona fide guru to inquire about the highest benefit of life. (…) If one is able to obtain the dust of the lotus feet of such a guru, his life becomes successful. Otherwise he is baffled both in this life and in the next.” (Srimad-Bhagavatam 5.14.13, purport)

“The misguided conditioned soul also approaches so-called sadhus and svamis who preach against the principles of the Vedas. He does not receive benefit from them, either in the present or in the future (…)To get some material benefit, the conditioned soul approaches these pseudosannyasis and yogis for cheap blessings, but he does not receive any benefit from them, either spiritual or material.” (Srimad-Bhagavatam 5.14.13, translation and purport)

“The sastras enjoin that before we take a guru we study him carefully to find out whether we can surrender to him. We should not accept a guru suddenly, out of fanaticism. That is very dangerous.” (The Science of Self Realization, chapter 2, ‘Choosing a Spiritual Master’)

“One should take initiation from a bona fide spiritual master coming in the disciplic succession, who is AUTHORIZED BY HIS PREDECESSOR SPIRITUAL MASTER. This is called diksa-vidhana .” (S.B. 4.8.54, purport)

Prabhupada: Yes. Of course, to search out a guru is very nice, but if you want a cheap guru, or if you want to be cheated, then you will find many cheating gurus. But if you are sincere, you will find a sincere guru. Because people want everything very cheaply, they are cheated. (http://www.prabhupadanugas.eu/news/?p=2950)

Srila Prabhupada warns of jealous people accepting service in ISKCON

“There are many jealous people in the dress of Vaisnavas in this Krsna consciousness movement, and they should be completely neglected. There is no need to serve a jealous person who is in the dress of a Vaisnava.”

“A jealous person in the dress of a Vaisnava is not at all happy to see the success of another Vaisnava in receiving the Lord’s mercy. Unfortunately, in this Age of Kali there are many mundane persons in the dress of Vaisnavas, and Srila BhaktivinodaThakura has described them as disciples of Kali. He says, kali-cela. He indicates that there is another Vaisnava, a pseudo Vaisnava with tilaka on his nose and kanthi beads around his neck. Such a pseudo Vaisnava associates with money and women and is jealous of successful Vaisnavas. Although passing for a Vaisnava, his only business is earning money in the dress of a Vaisnava.” (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Madhya-lila, 1.218 purport)

Prabhupada: Try to understand. Don’t go very speedily. A GURU CAN BECOME GURU WHEN HE’S ORDERED BY HIS GURU. That’s all. Otherwise nobody can become guru . Ref. VedaBase, Bhagavad-gita 7.2 — Nairobi, October 28, 1975.

“My dear Uddhava, the spiritual master must be accepted not only as My representative, but as My very self. He must never be considered on the same level with an ordinary human being. One should never be envious of the spiritual master, as one may be envious of an ordinary man . The spiritual master should always be seen as the representative of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and by serving the spiritual master one is able to serve all the demigods.” (SB 11.17.27)

Srimad-Bhagavatam 6.7.15 Purport – Indra Offends His Spiritual Master, Brhaspati:
“By the mercy of the spiritual master one is benedicted by the mercy of Krsna. Without the grace of the spiritual master, one cannot make any advancement.” A disciple should never be a hypocrite or be unfaithful to his spiritual master. In Srimad-Bhagavatam (11.17.27), THE SPIRITUAL MASTER IS ALSO CALLED ACARYA . Acaryam mam vijaniyan : the Supreme Personality of Godhead says that one should respect the spiritual master, accepting him as the Lord Himself. Navamanyeta karhicit: one should not disrespect the acarya at any time. Na martya-buddhyasuyeta: one should never think the acarya an ordinary person. Familiarity sometimes breeds contempt, but one should be very careful in one’s dealings with the acarya. Agadha-dhisanam dvijam: the acarya is a perfect brahmana and has unlimited intelligence in guiding the activities of his disciple.

Srila Prabhupada: “Who is my disciple? First of all let him FOLLOW STRICTLY THE DISCIPLINED RULES. As long as one is following, then he is… then he is all right.” (Srila Prabhupada’s Morning Walk, June 13, 1976, Detroit)

Srila Prabhupada: “My advise is always chant 16 rounds minimum and follow the four regulative principles. All of my disciples must agree on this point OTHERWISE THEY ARE NOT MY DISCIPLES.” (Srila Prabhupada Letter to Raja Laksmi, February 17, 1976)
