JAYANTH DEV B. K., Mon, Jul 26, 2010, INDIA — I was born as a fool, if you don’t believe frankly my date of birth says it all (1st April). My life was an empty bucket with almost no goals or good memories. Eight years before when I was in eight standard, I was introduced to ISKCON Bangalore’s ‘Culture Camp’.
At that time I was a non believer of neither god nor guru but I was just introduced to it. I entered into ISKCON with no intention to learn or know about god.
I remember the first day- morning session- they said all the students to chant slokas and Hare Krishna mantra. I laughed at the idea but I did it because I was a part of it.
Correctly chanting after the mantra I got news from my school saying I have passed in the exam with good marks. That was a magic but I was not interested with it. The start of afternoon session thrilled me because I didn’t hear god’s name but I heardscience.
The topic of ‘big bang and evolution theory’ came out with a different perspective. The devotee said that science is limited to understand about creation of this universe.
I was convinced with their perspective but there avatar like dothi, kurta, with bald head didn’t impress me because I thaught they are poojaries with no education But was soon impressed seeing their qualification and the medal tags.
The days passed on and I started to chant, reading Prabhupada’s books and service. My life started to change. I then joined Friends Of Lord Krishna (FOLK) club and got educated about Lord Krishna.
Slowly my path of pure non-sense changed to the path of perfection. ISKCON Bangalore opened my eyes, Prabhupada accepted me as his most fallen devotee and Krishna blessed me.
Today, I have completed reading and understanding all Prabhupada’s books and I’m sure I’m in the right path but I still feel that I’m the most fallen.
I request to all the readers to visit ISKCON Bangalore and experience the magic of Lord Krishna and my Eternal Guru Srila Prabhupada.
Hare Krishna
