“My Vyasa-puja offering to Srila Prabhupada, 2010”

Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your divine lotus feet. All glories to you.

What you are accomplishing in this world is tremendous. The whole world is becoming Krsna conscious by the potency of your preaching. Only a gross fool can deny this. If not for your compassion and preaching, none of us would exist, the Krsna Consciousness Movement would not exist, and the whole world would be gliding into hell.

Those who say that you gave only the basics are the same people who have no taste for performing even the basic activities of Krishna Consciousness such as performing kirtan, chanting japa, reading your books, hearing your lectures, and so on. Just one page of your books could take lifetimes to properly understand, so anyone who says your books are elementary are simply revealing their own lack of brain substance.

The disease of the present day is that anyone except you can be guru. It is socially acceptable to accept a person of fifth-class character as one’s guru, but if one simply makes your divine lotus feet the goal of one’s life, he is immediately demonized and ostracized. This can only be due to the Kali-yuga. But we have seen what happens to those who minimize your position, they all fall away like glow worms in the light of the sun, so we have great hope for the future that your infinite glories will be broadcast and understood all over the world and that you will be established in your rightful position.

Every single world that came out of your divine mouth is completely perfect and absolute truth, and the empiricists and humanists are gradually being forced to admit this fact as their own nonsense is exposed more and more. One can simply accept your teachigns as perfect, or they can empirically analyze and study them, and in the end, they will come to the same conclusion, that your teachings are completely perfect and absolute. Hearing from you, whether it is through reading your books or listening to your lectures, is the perfection of one’s life.

If someone asks me, “Who is your guru?”, I reply to them:

“Who is my guru? Who is my life and soul? Who is my lord and master birth after birth? Who is that person who thinking of their infinite mercy involuntarily brings tears to the eyes and causes the heart to become overwhelmed? There is only one person who is all of those things to me, and that is you, Srila Prabhupada.

Begging to become an eternal servant of your lotus feet,

Caitanya dasa
