TNN, Aug 28, 2010, 06.59am IST | BANGALORE: Akshaya Patra, one of the world’s largest mid-day meal programmes, boasts of four luminaries in its advisory board — Infosys chief mentor N R Narayana Murthy, Chopra Centre for Wellbeing founder Deepak Chopra, Harvard Business School dean Nitin Nohria and author/journalist Fareed Zakaria.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation, USA, said the board will help the organization achieve its next goal (by 2020) of providing mid-day meals daily to 5 million deserving schoolchildren.
“We heartily welcome these stalwarts to the advisory board of Akshaya Patra Foundation,” chairman Madhu Pandit Dasa said in Bangalore. “With their support and advice, Akshaya Patra can reach greater heights.”
