PADA: Official Diksha Issue

PADA, October 6, 2010: Pretty much self evident. Many of the official disciples of Srila Prabhupada have fallen away, despite getting official diksha. Many of the people we work with are second and even a few third generation, they have been not been officially initiated by Srila Prabhupada, but since they have a more serious level of faith in Srila Prabhupada, they are able to hold a much higher level of sadhana and faith.

The main link is to have faith in the guru (shraddha), its not the official ceremonials. At the same time, we should have a process of giving people initiation ceremonies and spiritual names, Bhakti Caru just gave a nice lecture saying since the ISKCON leaders and so-called gurus are falling down, they should only initiate people as followers of Srila Prabhupada acting as his representatives. ys pd
