Posted by Shankabrith dasa, Jan 19, BANGALORE, INDIA — I, Shankabrith dasa hereby humbly begin the series of my desire to expose the truth to the world in regard to the court case and history of the ISKCON Karnataka chapter since 1976. This is just the beginning and as and when needed, I shall contribute the story time to time for the world of Vaisnavas who are willing to uphold Srila Prabhupada’s glory with all their sincerity in heart. I also beg your forgiveness for any setback in my English or grammar. As far as possible, I will try to avoid offending or hurting others. Save and except for speaking the truth, I have no other hidden agenda, like others. With folded hands and offering my pranams to you and all, I herein present the following first set of question:
It has been over a decade now that this court case is going on. The only persons benefited are the legal counsels. What is so difficult that the two parties could not resolve it in the forum of Vaisnava sanga?
1. First and foremost, who is the root cause of this fight? The world is entitled to know?
2. Secondly, what is the real history of ISKCON Karnataka? How and under what circumstances did it come into existence?
3. What really went wrong between H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaj and H.G. Sriman Madhupandit Prabhu?
4.Why did so many nice, educated young men suddenly reject their guru (Jayapataka Swami) in the first place?
5. Has anyone from among the leadership of ISKCON really sincerely tried to resolve this issue outside the court?
6. As regards to the transparency of accounts of ISKCON Bangalore, ISKCON Mumbai has no moral right to question it because it allowed ISKCON Bangalore to function under the leadership of the GBC, H.H. Jayapataka Swami from 1999-2001? Why should H.G. Madhupandit dasa be held responsible for this now? Is it not the duty of the GBC to answer?
7. What is the monitoring mechanism devised by the GBC to make the legal office in Bangalore transparent and accountable for all its actions and resources spent under the leadership of H.G. Dayaram?
8. Dayaram das Prabhu has a personal agenda in pursuing this court case. He has personally revealed this to me just a few months ago at my home. Of course, now he calls me a crook, only because I did not follow his crooked line of action, contemplated for putting Madhupandit Prabhu in jail. I am convinced that no one within ISKCON can now stop him from using ISKCON’s money for following his agenda, in the disguise of protecting Srila Prabhupada’s institution.
9. ISKCON GBC will be never be able to resolve this case as long as it is headed by the person heading their legal office at Bangalore at present. This man is the stumbling block to the peace formula. He has his own agenda and somehow has the GBC sanction for the same. This is the ground reality: he was the one who masterminded the brainwashing of a few men from Madhupandit Prabhu’s camp to desert him. The offer was, if they bring some valuable documents to reveal the inside story, then they would be rewarded with reinstatement to higher positions as soon as the takeover is completed. That was a few years ago. Unfortunately, a few deserted and floated stories painting Madhupandit dasa as a demon or thief who has stolen Srila Prabhupada’s property.
10. How can these men bring any good, solution or peace? Is it not clear that they all have their own hidden agenda, as much as that of their mentor’s?
I personally stand by my writing and am willing to answer some of the above questions for any clarification. I am for a peaceful out-of-court settlement, certainly not for sale or support for those who have a hidden agenda to send a devotee to jail. And who has given them this mandate? Certainly not Srila Prabhupada. Who has hijacked Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON since 1977? Certainly not Madhupandit or ISKCON Karnataka. Who has run away with millions of dollars? Certainly not Madhupandit dasa.
Why not send the legal team to recover all that money from the former gurus? Are they using it in Srila Prabhupada’s seva? Certainly not. For all the money spent on the court case under false pretext of protecting Srila Prabhupada’s property, they could have built at least two or three more beautiful temples in Bangalore and benefitted the public at large.

Victory will be with those who follow krishna and spiritual master sincearly. Iskcon mumbai guru and other such bogus gurus should realise that they are not as qualified as Srila prabhupada. They have blessings of neither Krishna nor Srila prabhupada, otherwise they would not have lost the case. The result of this case reveals the truth that “A PURE DEVOTEE OF KRISHNA AND THE ONE WHO SINCEARLY FOLLOWS THE ORDERS OF HIS SPIRUTUAL MASTER ALWAYS WINS”. Haribol
Are we fighting for owning property or krishna? krishna resides where there is no disharmony, quarrel, hatred or envy. temples are but just resting places, solid structures for the Supreme Lord. Can the lord rest in a place full of these vices? why fight for such structures devoid of his presence? let us join together and vie for krishnas blessings and love showers on all of us. why possess structures when we cannot have Him? this only proves the extent of our ignorance and foolishness and we claim to the world that we have mastered the scriptures like Bhagavada Gita and are great preachers. will anyone listen to us if we conduct ourselves in this arrogant manner? how can anyone be so empty-headed?
In fact the money and property contributed by public and the land given by the karnataka Government. When such being the circumstances the legal battle for claiming the owner ship by and between Bangalore ISKON and Mumbai ISKON is meaningless. This will affects the integrity of the Sree Krishna devotees. Therefore it is better to take over by the Karnataka Government Mujarai Department for the welfare for the Sree Krishna Devotees, which will put an end to the litigation or otherwise it will leads to big scam.
Note to the Devotees: This is an appeal to all Sree Krishna Devotees that please file PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION for supporting to take over the ISKON Temple by the Karnataka Government Mujarai Department.
