Facebook post: […] “Our society…”, foolish people figure this is where the buildings are. It is where Prabhupada is the center. If an ambitious leader drags his followers along into a financial scandal like recent report from BCS’s yatra, is this “our society”? Fallen gurus posing as God’s direct representatives, is this “our society”? Might be so for Srutakirti prabhu but is he convincing?
Roupa Manjari Devi Dasi — Are you suggesting that we abandon ISKCON, as the members of the Hare Krishna Society, led by Yasodanandan and Puranjana das, have done up until now? “The ambitious leaders” of whom you speak are none other than the non-elected GBC who instated the bogus gurus and who hijacked Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON Movement 35 years ago.
The Temples are Sacred, the Deities are Sacred, and they were personally installed by the Hand of our Founder-Acarya Srila Prabhupada. Please do not conflate these non-elected GBC with Srila Prabhupada or ISKCON, which are the Direct Will of Lord Sri Krishna.
To do so is the same as allowing the thief that stole your car to keep your car with the reasoning that, “He stole it, so it must naturally belong to him now, so I will scrape together $10k and buy myself a second hand SUV and comfort myself that this is what God wanted”. No that is nonsense.
Our duty is to reclaim stolen property for our Spiritual Master and banish the evildoers from their stolen positions of power, and redivert all funds, properties and assets into the good Name of ISKCON Inc.
If we simply work together, bring the temple members together and educate them in an international effort on the Direction of Management, and proceed to elect a legal GBC, the entire charade that has gone on for so many years will be at an end. This is the real happy ending – not giving up in cowardly defeat and letting Srila Prabhupada’s Beloved ISKCON Movement be consumed from within and without.
