On this holy day of Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura’s disappearance, I am happy to offer (attached) a digitized (FREE) file of the original 1968 TLC!
As far as I know this is the first time it has been available in any digitized format to any one, ever!
I thoroughly searched the web for this 1968 edition and there was no digitized version of this book to be found anywhere, only the 1974 edited version. In regard to the 1974 second edition of TLC in 1967 Srila Prabhupada has clearly said: “I have already written to Rayrama about Teachings of Lord Chaitanya, that there is no need of editing the final manuscript.
But let us prepare for its printing…I also do not like too much editorial work…. I do not want that Teachings of Lord Chaitanya should be edited again and typed again and time wasted in that way…. The book should be printed immediately, without any waste of time. That is my desire.” (Letter to Satsvarupa, December 23, 1967) Unfortunately much time was wasted in unauthorized heavy editing of this book after this clear instruction was given.
Now, after a lot of hard work by Ahaituki Bhakti dd who simply asks for your well wishes and blessings in return, this original authorized edition of The Teachings Of Lord Caitanya is being presented free for everyones benefit.
