Slaughter of Murari Sevaka Cows

Regarding the mention in Hare Krishna dasi’s recent report on cow slaughter in ISKCON, and the eleven cows from Murari Sevaka community in Tennessee that were slaughtered’:
“1. Indra – not trained ox – 8 -10 year old Brown Swiss mix
2. Chota – trained ox – 4 year old Jersey
3. Maha – trained ox – 4 year old Jersey
4. Bhima – trained ox – 4 year old Jersey
5. Bala – trained ox – 4 year old Jersey
6. Prabhu – trained ox – 4 year old Long Hair Jersey
7. Bimba – trained ox – 6 year old Red Angus + Brown Swiss
8. Tala – trained ox – 6 year old Black Angus + Brown Swiss
9. Dharma – trained ox – 4 year old Jersey
10. Hamsi – cow – 12 year old Jersey
11. Hamsi’s – bull calf – 1 week old Jersey
[the lifespan of a protected cow or oxen is 18 years]
Allegedly at the arrangement of an ISKCON temple leader, these cows were sold at a Fayetteville auction in late June or early July of this year [1999]. Subsequently, they were taken to a packinghouse, where each one was murderously slaughtered.”
Not just allegedly!
I actually arrived at Nashville Airport back then and was informed that Drumilla, who was acting as Temple President there for some time, had just sold them for slaughter days before.
I immediately rushed to the Fayetville market with my credit card to save them, but was told by the local traders that they had gone to the slaughterhouse just the day before.
They reported that they had never seen such peaceful cows.
They did not have to be pushed into the truck to the slaughterhouse.
They completely willingly entered the truck to be taken to their death.
It was totally devastating.
Shame on those who were responsible for that.

If this is true , then this news should be spread in all over the Isckon centers in my openion . What a shamefull and sinfull activities this is ! If Krishna Conscious people can not protect cows who else we can expect those who can protect cows ? Who ? It is unbelievable hepos !
According to http://pratyatosa.com/GBCRES/GBCRES1999.htm, Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami was responsible for the slaughter of the 11 cows. He was, at the time, the GBC man for the Southeast United States. Therefore he was the one who put the mentally unstable Drumilla Dasa in charge of the Murari Sevaka, Tennessee farm community where the horrendous offense took place.
so absolutely devastating. Iskcon cannot recover from this bloodshed . And we must never forget. How can we call ourselves protectors of cows?????
…so this was in 1999 and we have now 2011…i don’t think it is very productive to bring up 12 year old news, however horrendous they may have been. is this happening now..?? I do not think so…

nowadays the truth is so clear between Iskcon and Fiskcon that just foolish people still follow all these pseudos of vedic culture by exploiting cows, devotees and the movement of our founder acharya HDG ACBSP.
Like Jayapataka swami who still tries to destroy Madhu Pandita prabhu’s Iskcon Bangalore. Same illusion when Lord Brahma stole the cows and friends of Lord Krishna but got defeated.
Vedic culture was brought to the western countries by SRILA PRABHUPADA. Although it is so nice we are still facing trouble because of not following properly.
Prabhupada: Therefore in the Bhagavad-gita you will find this word krsi-go-raksya. Go-raksya. This animal has to be protected. Not other animals it is mentioned. And go, cow. So those who are meat-eaters, they can eat nonimportant animals.
But cows should be given protection. This is the instruction. But in the western country the cows are specially being killed. Now the reaction is war, crime, and they are now repentant. And they will have to repent more and more.

Since the offense occurred in 1999, Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami is responsible, but ultimately, the whole GBC body is responsible. This offense against mother cow and father bull may have been part of the reason why the GBC was sued for $400,000,000 in 2000, a lawsuit which ended up costing them $16,000,000! Karma!
It says quite clearly in the VEDAS that the cow killers are demons and that for every cow u murder, u will be slaughted 1000 times for every hair on the cow’s body. Like SRILA PRABHUPADA himself said years ago, there are demons in the HARE KRSNA movement. I wouldn’t want to be them at the time of death!
