Sri Brahmotsavam 2012 Garuda Dhvaja Arohana Celebrations at ISKCON Bangalore

video credit: Iskcon Bangalore Group — The first day of the 15th Sri Brahmhotsava festival at ISKCON Bangalore commenced with an abhisheka to Garudadeva, the eternal carrier of Lord Vishnu. A flag bearing the picture of Garudadeva was hoisted during the Dhvaja arohana ceremony which marks the commencement of the grand twelve-day festival. Important devatas such as Brahma were invited with their invocation mantra as set to particular ragas and accompanied by nadaswaram.
