PURPORT BY SRILA PRABHUPADA

Srila Sanatana Gosvami has written in his Hari-bhakti-vilasa:

avaisnava-mukhodgirnam
putam hari-kathamrtam
sravanam naiva kartavyam
sarpocchistam yatha payah

Transcendental literature that strictly follows the Vedic principles and the conclusion of the Puranas and pancaratrika-vidhi can be written only by a pure devotee.

It is not possible for a common man to write books on bhakti, for his writings will not be effective. He may be a very great scholar and expert in presenting literature in flowery language, but this is not at all helpful in understanding transcendental literature.

Even if transcendental literature is written in faulty language, it is acceptable if it is written by a devotee, whereas so-called transcendental literature written by a mundane scholar, even if it is a very highly polished literary presentation, cannot be accepted. The secret in a devotee’s writing is that when he writes about the pastimes of the Lord, the Lord helps him; he does not write himself.

As stated in the Bhagavad-gita (10.10), dadami buddhi-yogam tam yena mam upayanti te. Since a devotee writes in service to the Lord, the Lord from within gives him so much intelligence that he sits down near the Lord and goes on writing books. Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami confirms that what Vrndavana dasa Thakura wrote was actually spoken by Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, and he simply repeated it.

The same holds true for Sri Caitanya-caritamrta. Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami wrote Sri Caitanya-caritamrta in his old age, in an invalid condition, but it is such a sublime scripture that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaja used to say, “The time will come when the people of the world will learn Bengali to read Sri Caitanya-caritamrta.”

We are trying to present Sri Caitanya-caritamrta in English and do not know how successful it will be, but if one reads the original Caitanya-caritamrta in Bengali he will relish increasing ecstasy in devotional service.

pamho agtACBSP, dvadasi ki jai, SRILA PRABHUPADA transcendental vision is all we need to keep meditating on to be saved from all the calamities of the cycle of birth and death in this misery and temporary world, and unless one gets situated in this platform of transcendental vision one will right down only rubbish coming from condizioned living entities who are doing everything to feel blissful inside the material body which is compared to a prision house. Forgetting the real purpose of this prison house by keeping trying to enjoy is what all the past generations already done and the future one also will follow like that this is the material world padam padam yad vipadam, and unless one understands it one want to enjoy still until one become completely rotten.

The acharyas can write this vedic literature because they teach by example sahasra sirsa purusa sahasra, the acharyas know they are a lot of witness around us even if we can’t see them right now because our senses mind etc.. are not pure yet but nobody can escape to be watch by all these witness therefore the acharyas are teaching by example through the pure vibration coming from the transcendental reflection of the param-brahman, only then one can write vedic literature.

One needs to know his spiritual identity also to do that because unless we see everything as it is we can’t deliver even ourselves from the clutches of maha maya in the material world which illusory journey make ordinary people to spoil one life after another by repeating the same mistakes. The body machine is going like that until one becomes free because it’s a scientific vehicle and the driver is SRI KRSNA therefore unless one get pure bhakti the machine activities are connected to the three gunas of material nature and the soup is always the same since the beginning of the maha tattva, so all gone by forgetting to save themselves in this way one can understand also the little importance of i and mine in the material world, it is all useless jivasya mohan aham mameti therefore the transcendental vision of SRILA PRABHUPADA is all we got agtSP ys haribol
