Srila Prabhupada letter to Srimati Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister of India, Dec. 6, 1973:

“I thank you very much for kindly allowing an interview to my disciples Sriman Gurudasa Adhikari accompanied by his wife also, Srimati Yamuna devi.

Perhaps your Excellency is aware of our Krishna consciousness movement all over the world. We are not only preaching the cult by chanting and dancing, but also by presenting in the English language the books of the bhakti cult, especially Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam all over the world.

You will be pleased to know that our books are being well received in all parts of the world, and recently we have information from London that in two months time we have sold 30,000 copies of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is.

I am sending herewith one copy of my book Bhagavad-gita As It Is as my humble presentation. I hope at your convenient leisure time, you can have a glance over this book, at least the preliminary statement in the Foreword, Introduction, and Preface, which will convince you of the importance of the book.

We think that Bhagavad-gita As It Is without a wrong interpretation can solve all the problems of human society, namely social, political, religious, economic, philosophical, cultural, or from any angle of vision, because it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. It is above all deficiency, namely mistake, illusion, cheating, and the imperfection of the senses.

So we in our humble way are trying to spread this cult of Bhagavad-gita all over the world, and my American and European disciples, two samples of them are meeting with you, are helping me in this connection. After all, Bhagavad-gita is the sublime cultural knowledge, and of course religion is included there, but it is not fanaticism or sentimental religion. It is based on pure science, philosophy, and logic.

I wish that our Indian government will be proud to take up this cultural movement very seriously, so that the whole world will be benefited, and India will be glorified. I hope Krishna will give you the proper sense to understand my humble presentation, and it will be a great pleasure to know you have relished this Bhagavad-gita As It Is without any unauthorized commentation.

Thanking you once more for giving us the opportunity to see you in this connection.
Your ever well wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

  1. Devaki Nandana dasa says:

ALL GLORIES TO HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI SRILA PRABHUPADA! I noticed that in the above letter, from SRILA PRABHUPADA to Indira Gandhi,SRILA PRABHUPADA states ‘it will be a great pleasure to know you have relished Bhagavad Gita As It Is without any unauthorized commentation.’Of course,SRILA PRABHUPADA was spesking of His original, perfect Bhagavad Gita As It Is.When He says ‘unauthorized commentation’,He means commentation NOT BY THE AUTHOR–Himself. So the new Bhagavad Gitas fron Jai Advaita Swami are UNAUTHORIZED,ana contain UNAUTHORIZED COMMENTATION.

    pamho agtACBSP,

well to tell you the truth there are so many things unfortunately which are still unauthorized in iskcon bbt samstapakacarya 108 SRI SRIMAD ACBSP.

What can be done they will learn by getting defeated life after life until they understand that they are still unfit to do the job of SRILA PRABHUPADA as diksa guru because they do not have any background history in the vaishnava family mentioned in the Brahma Gaudiya Sampradaya.

“One who can control the pushings and remain steady can make disciples all over the world.” [NoI 1]

“But Krishna is only fully realized by His pure devotees.”

SRILA PRABHUPADA is the number 32 in the succession of spiritual masters, parampara.

Hanuman: One thing he’s saying, this gentleman, and I would like to know, is your successor named or your successor will…
Prabhupada: My success is always there. Yes. Just like the sun is there always. It may come before your vision or not.
    (February 12, 1975, Mexico)

“It don’t come so easy”, sings Sriman Haridas (Geoge Harrison)

To get rid of the fake reflection of the truth trapped in the bodily concept of life one need to become a Krsna conscious person but that’s not the way of HG Advaita swami who is trying to change SRILA PRABHUPADA’s books.

Reporter: Do you expect to name one person as your successor or have you already?
Prabhupada: That I am not contemplating now. But there is no need of one person. As other things are managed, but by committee, so this can also be managed, and the committee may elect one person as chief. As, just like in the democracy there are senators and there is president, so it may be I may nominate or they can nominate.

Perfect knowledge means not change what is established by previous acarya. If he is been defeated it means he has not in perfect knowledge.

To make comments on the divine literature one must be a mukta purusa.

“Vyasadeva is a liberated soul, and he compiled this book of authority after attaining spiritual perfection.”
    (TLC 23)

But without Vaishnava family background one has to work hard first – Work now, samadhi later – Prabhupada used to say then one can get divine realizations and write enlightened comments which can give benefit to the whole world.

As our beloved acharya HDG ACBSP is still doing through his vani seva, thank you for your sat-sanga
