Posted by Bhakta George, Mar 24 2009, CALIFORNIA — There are places you can go that you can never come back from. Vietnam was a place like that, a place that took you and killed you. Whether you came back riding in the seat of an airplane or stuffed in the cargo hold in a body bag, blown apart or blown away, whether you were dead on the outside or dead on the inside, you were dead either way. A lot of my friends came back that way, dead either way.
Krsna consciousness was a more positive place for me, but not for everyone. What should have been as close as Heaven can be was turned into Hell for many, who will never escape on this side of the grave the feeling of that day when they screamed out to Sri Krsna and His devotees for mercy and protection, but were instead so savagely and viciously betrayed.
No one likes to see the victims. They are exhibitions of our failures, proofs positive to the falsity of all of our fond imaginings of ourselves. We failed them then, we fail them now, we fail them every day as long as any single one of them lives with such feelings, by allowing them the only option that we leave them with, the only means for their escape.
If we accept Narayana Maharaja’s explanations we are no better than Narayana Maharaja, who wants only one thing — their disappearance, for they are proofs of his own failure and lack of conscience. Through such words and explanations as he provides in “Did Srila Prabhupada Know?”, he attempts to push them, to push them into the grave. Then no one will see the evidence that Narayana Maharaja might have just as well done to them what the men who he praised as good as God did and caused to be done to them.
Yes, Narayana Maharaja, the all-merciful, the all-compassionate, wants your children dead and I have read since my last article that in some cases, he has succeeded. After reading “Did Srila Prabhupada Know?” and upon hearing of the devotees, their friends and families accepting his explanation they accepted it themselves, accepted that they were to blame themselves for the beatings, the rapes and the abuses, accepted themselves that they were responsible, that they were bad and slated for only punishment. They accepted this and then they finished it. They did you one better, oh ISKCON and Narayana Maharaja, or they did it as one final protest.
Can you even name them?
Since my last article I have paused to consider what Srila Prabhupada wants for Narayana Maharaja, and I think that what he wants for him now may be different from what he wanted for him then.
I am told by many of Narayana Maharaja’s disciples, and it seems to me that when they tell me this they are just trying to rationalize and come up with excuses for his lack of successes, that Narayana Maharaja just has a different mood than Srila Prabhupada does. That I am sure of.
While Narayana Maharaja believes that the victims of the child abuse are the only ones actually responsible for it and that thus, such men as institutionalized it are free from blame and worthy of support and recommendation as being pure devotees and maha-bhagavatas, competent and qualified by Krsna’s grace to initiate, Srila Prabhupada expresses his different mood by saying that child molesters should be thrown out of the movement… but that first they should be hung.
Yes, definitely a different mood and a different view then Narayana Maharaja has. He seems to think that all such monsters as Kirtanananda really need is a big hug from him.
So when Narayana Maharaja tells you that he is teaching you nothing different than Srila Prabhupada does, please forgive yourself if you believed him before, but depart you from that belief now for the two views — the one of Srila Prabhupada and the one of Narayana Maharaja are not only reflective of different moods, are not only contradictory to each other, but are in fact in enmity with each other.
The one expressed by Srila Prabhupada is expressive of the mood of a devotee, the other expressed by Narayana Maharaja is reflective of a demoniac mentality, like to that of Hiranyakasipu’s, who blamed his saintly son to be the cause of all the crimes that he committed upon him.
Oh, so when some authority beat and raped your child or even murdered him, Krsna did not appear at once to protect him, and that proves that the victim and not the abuser is to blame? Excuse me. I am somewhat novice and perhaps I missed something… but was another avatar predicted for this age? And another and another to protect as many children as were abused, raped or murdered?
I thought that sometimes Krsna appears, but the rest of the time He sends His devotees? So we were not there and the kids are to blame for our not protecting them? Who really failed and who is continuing to fail them now, by accepting such garbage as Narayana Maharaja’s explanation in “Did Srila Prabhupada Know?”
Face it prabhus, if Prahlada Maharaja had had to depend upon us for his salvation, he would have died.
This is just a short piece. I know that I promised I would reveal Narayana Maharaja in my next article, by his own words. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten, just after hearing this latest news to me, I am a bit overwhelmed. But don’t worry, I am continuing to sharpen it.
