World Vedic Festival begins – The Times of India

TNN | Apr 5, 2013, 01.23 AM IST — DIBRUGARH: The World Vedic Festival got underway in Dibrugarh on Thursday with the participation of more than 150 foreigners from as many as 30 countries. The three-day festival has been organized by the Dibrugarh centre of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

“Devotees from 30 countries, including England, USA, Russia, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Malaysia and Nigeria have come to participate in the festival. They will take part in the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra and other cultural festivities,” said Jadupati Shyam Das, the director of ISKCON’s Dibrugarh centre.

On the first day, a cultural exchange programme was organized among the participating delegates.
