ISKCON keeps silent about Madhu Pandit Prabhu’s success

Madhavananda das, 18 April 2009: Since http://news.iskcon.com/, dandavats.com, planetiskcon.com are keeping silent about Madhu Pandit’s success, it should be clear that these people have no Vaishnava etiquette, are not even gentlemen. The good thing is that the newspapers are now getting conscious about what actually happened, “Hence, he didn’t name a successor but gave a written directive that he would remain acharya of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the future as well.” And: Times of India: “The genesis of the dispute was the difference that arose between the devotees of the two parties on the issue of spiritual succession in ISKCON after founder-acharya Srila Prabhupada’s death. He had before his death, noted that none of his disciples (mostly young westerners) were qualified to occupy the spiritual post of acharya. Hence, he didn’t name a successor but gave a written directive that he would remain acharya of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the future as well.” (TOI)

Court awards temple to ISKCON-Bangalore

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/

BANGALORE: In a nine-year-old litigation between ISKCON-Bangalore and ISKCON-Mumbai over the ownership of the Sri Radha Krishna Temple on Hare Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar, the Bangalore city civil court on Friday declared ISKCON-Bangalore to be the absolute owner of the Temple and that ISKCON-Mumbai has no right to interfere in ISKON-Bangalore’s affairs.

The latter is an independent society registered in Karnataka in 1978 under Karnataka Society Registration Act and ISKCON-Mumbai is a separate society registered in Mumbai.

The genesis of the dispute was the difference that arose between the devotees of the two parties on the issue of spiritual succession in ISKCON after founder-acharya Srila Prabhupada’s death. He had before his death, noted that none of his disciples (mostly young westerners) were qualified to occupy the spiritual post of acharya. Hence, he didn’t name a successor but gave a written directive that he would remain acharya of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the future as well.
