Nepal Earthquake and the Gadhimai Massacre Festival
What has Nepal’s Gadhimai Festival in common with the great earthquake in 2015? –
Mass Killing!
Gadhimai festival is a socalled sacrificial ceremony that is held every 5 years at the Gadhimai Temple of Bariyarpur, in Bara District, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the capital Kathmandu in the southern Nepal, near the Indo-Nepal border, adjacent to Bihar. The event involves the large scale slaughter of animals including water buffaloes, pigs, goats, chickens, and pigeons – with the goal of pleasing Gadhimai, the goddess of power. It is estimated that 250,000 innocent animals were massacred during the Gadhimai festival of 2009.
Was the earthquake in Nepal a karmic reaction for the Gadhimai Massacre Festival, in which thousands of innocent animal where brutally slaughtered? Some people believe so. The law of Karma is infallible: As ye sow, so ye shall reap. Life for Life. Do unto others, as you would have them do to you. As long as there are slaughtering houses, killing innocent animals, there will be war and famine.
Nepal’s killing fields: FIVE THOUSAND buffalo lie slaughtered at the beginning of Nepal’s Gadhimai mass killing festival which sees up to 300,000 animals killed to bring worshippers good luck, says the daily mail. What demoniac idiots, good look by killing innocend animals. Killing Of Animal Never Brings Good Luck.
Joanna Lumley, who opposed the festival by leading a protest in London, said: “I love Nepal – both the land and its people. The Gadhimai animal sacrifice festival entails horrendous animal suffering and is a complete anomaly in this wonderful country.”
