We already understand how to decipher between atheist and theist, already know how to accept a Authentic Paramapara and it’s disciplic succession, completely  agree to  The Founder-Acarya Srila Prabhupadas’ request to serve Him and follow His Teachings, and accept what He asks for us to do as “the greatest service” to Him and His Guru Maharaja, His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Gosvami Maharaja, which is, distributing, Original, Un-edited, Krsna-loka literature. So what is this about dead horses? Where and who is/are these dead horse/horses and is there any possibility to help them ? In a room conversation in 1977 Srila Prabhupada was explaining about philanthropic/altruistic societies and a Godbrother’s brother, so please, let us so kindly hear from His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada,

“Prabhupāda: What…? Rejected. I think of them dead. They may think themselves that they are very full of life, but I think they are dead. What is the use of fighting with the dead body? Dead horse, and what is the use of whipping? A dead horse will rise up by whipping?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yeah, “Beating a dead horse.” There’s a saying.

Prabhupāda: I think all of them are dead.”

Hmmm… Srila Prabhupada revealed His mind, “I think all of them are dead.” Yes dead, dead is a fact. So, again, where does that leave us, should we fight or whip a dead horse?    Well……….. did Srila Prabhupada bicker or pick sides, fight with a dead horse/s, when His various Godbrother’s were clamoring and conniving to usurp His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Gosvami Maharaja’s eternal post of Acarya and occupy the Temples He constructed ? Nope. Sure didn’t.  What did He do ? He pushed on with Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Gosvami Maharajas’ vision and instructions, not caring a fig for all the disobedience, infighting, and unglamorous posturing and posing.

What Srila Prabhupada did is utilize and focus His Fighting Propensity, His Energy, His Thoughts, His Intelligence, His Body, His Money, trying with every fiber in His Being, to somehow or other get Lord Caitanya’s mission worldwide.  He did not allow Himself to be manipulated into a trap, snookered into their slimy inescapable well of frog philosophy.  Why ? According to His quote above He thought all of them were dead, these bogus societies and disobedient disciples, and blatantly, He was alive.

Yes,  Preach and Teach He did, and is still doing. It is true this conversation about “dead horse” was spoken in 1977, however, by Srila Prabhupadas’ Akarmic actions we can all hear and see from the beginning, that initial meeting between Them way back when, that He was under the direct guidance of His Guru Maharaja to fulfill this desire. To spread the rays of the Benediction Moon everywhere.

So, it is not as if we shouldn’t fight, it’s identifying where and who, we should fight. This fighting spirit is a necessity to push on Lord Caitanyas’ mission, handed to us by Srila Prabhupada, further and farther. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarsvati Thakur Gosvami Maharaja had the fighting spirit in spades, The Lion Acarya, and He passed it to Srila Prabhupada.  Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu obviously had it , that is where They got it from. In His Pastimes, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu Himself argued/verbally fought with persons including Prakashandana Sarasvati and Sarvabhuama Bhattacharya, neither of whom were dead horses; Both just “playing” a position of confusion about the nature of The Absolute Truth to assist Him in His mission.

But we for certain, should be competent enough to understand if who we are “fighting with” are dead horses trying to extract our precious energy and time,a succubus, whose sole goal is to entangle us and drain us of our fighting spirit by employing magical tactics to keep us away from doing productive service for Srila Prabhupada and the Parampara. Or, if it is a innocent/ignorant someone who is inquisitive or searching for The Absolute Truth, willing and trying to learn. If it’s not the latter then as Sri Gurudeva states, “what is the use of fighting with a dead body.” in my humble imperfect opinion, what was known as a beautiful and glorious international society of and for Krsna conscious, enacted to save the world, has been mystically transformed by Hati-mata offenses of dead horses into a cartel known as the international society of kali consciousness. Yes.

Why should we try to comprehend all of this ?  To not make the mistake of wasting time and wasting our energy.  It is an eternal principal; Waste not, want not. Personally, for this conditioned soul who is lower than the bacteria in the gut of the worm who is eating the stool, it is out of Honor, Respect, Adoration, Devotion and Love for His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and His mission. Why ? He is The One and Only One who looked compassionately upon this blind mleccha fool, and plucked me from the ocean of misery. Even though i was a lost rascal,l dirtbag scumbug, it appears i was not yet a “dead horse” and needed His fervent whipping.

Being graciously and freely handed a “second life”, “a real life”, by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, i personally have no other business but to follow in Srila Prabhupadas’ Lotus Footprints, and obey His Teachings. If i, and we, follow our Guru Maharaja, His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, a Maha-Bhagavata, Paramhamsa, Pure Devotee of Lord Sri Krsna, then i, and we, like He, have no use in whipping dead horses. It’s fighting season and His Army is stormily, silently amassing. Leave the dead horses to rot.
