It is noticed that disastrous adulteration of the Hare Krishna Movement is taking place everywhere because the leaders in charge of these are compromising more and more just for money making and gathering followers. Iskcon educational services has started to compromise more and more by trying to give no importance to the transcendental teachings of Srila Prabhupada and even trying to compare him with Aurobindo and Vivekananda thus insulting him in the greatest possible way.

Hṛdayānanda: (translating) He wants to know if the greatest offense is to disobey the guru.
Prabhupāda: Yes, that is the first offense. Guror avajñā, śruti-śāstra-nindanam. Śruti-śāstra-nindanaṁ guror avajñā. If you accept guru and again disobey him, then what is your position? You are not a gentleman. You promise before guru, before Kṛṣṇa, before fire, that “I shall obey your order; I shall execute this,” and again you do not do this. MOVEMENTS LIKE ARYA SAMAJ, RAMAKRISHNA MISSION ETC
A paragraph from the above link states “There are many different Hindu groups in the UK, and it would be misleading to consider one as more representative than another. Nonetheless, while keeping this in mind, it is important to know and teach about the main ones, briefly described below.”
The darkened line simply equates all other nonsense movements with the hare krishna movement thus promoting so called hinduism (or sahajiyaism).
Is this not a great offense against all Vaishnavas? How can they dare try to even equate this eternal Hare Krishna movement with so called atheistic movements?
We have a distinct position that we are neither cheated nor cheaters. We are the genuine representative of Krishna who is the friend of all living creatures. We must play our part independently only on faith in Krishna and His bonafide representatives. [Letter to Brahmananda, 21st December 1967]
The Māyāvādīs, they have invented. In Calcutta, in Bengal, they have invented Kali-kīrtana, Kali-kīrtana. The Ramakrishna Mission, they have invented Kali-kīrtana. “Why Hari-kīrtana? Kali-kīrtana.” They have got a party. As we say… Because they are rival, if we say, “Hare Kṛṣṇa,” they will say “Kali, Kali, Kali,” like that. This is going on. Kīrtana does not mean any other demigod. Kīrtana means of Viṣṇu. Śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ, clearly state. But these bogus, so-called swamis and yogis, they cheat people, bluff people by their own concoction. That is the difficulty. Even if you speak the right truth, they are unable to receive it because they have been deceived by so many rascals. So kīrtana means… Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad…, satataṁ kīrtayanto mām [Bg. 9.14], Kṛṣṇa. He doesn’t say that “Any kīrtana will do.” No. He doesn’t say. Satataṁ kīrtayanto mām yatantaś ca dṛḍha-vratāḥ [Bg. 9.14]. So, everything is there. Stick to Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra and see the Deity always and have impression of the Deity. This man (Vivekananda) [handwritten] has no understanding either of soul or of God and still he has posed himself as a Swami to mislead so many innocent persons. Understanding of the existence of soul is the beginning of teachings of Bhagavad Gita. If one has no understanding of the soul and God, he is no better than an animal because animals cannot have any idea of the soul or God. So how can I add these nonsense quotations? George’s foreword as it was originally sent can be published with little editorial changes, but in no case can the quotation from Swami Vivekananda be placed in my book. You have already admitted in your letter dated 11th April that it hurts you to see this change, quoting a rascal like Vivekananda, so please let me know clearly what you want me to do.” [Letter to Syamasundara written from Los Angeles,24th April 1970]
Srila Prabhupāda: And he is considered to be a great scholar in Bhagavad-gītā, and when cow protection was requested, he said that “How can I do it? It is their religious principle.” And he is a great big scholar in Bhagavad-gītā. All nonsense going on. Whole world is full of nonsense, mūḍhas, beginning from Gandhi to any rascal, all of them, rascals. Perhaps it is the first time we are detecting, “Here are all rascals.” It is first time. Then we are enemy of everyone. We call everyone rascal—Gandhi rascal, Vivekananda rascal, Aurobindo rascal. So actually, they are, but people are thinking, “These people say all big, big men rascals? There is no such thing as Hindu dharma. No. There is no such word in the whole Vedic literature. You won’t find in the Bhagavad-gītā or Bhāgavata as Hindu dharma. There is one word as Bhāgavata-dharma, but there is no such word as Hindu dharma. This Hindu dharma or Hindu… This is creation by our neighbor, Indian neighbor, the Middle-East Muhammadans. So Kṛṣṇa says, “All the varieties of life, it doesn’t matter. I am their father.” Ahaṁ bīja-pradaḥ pitā [Bg. 14.4]. Pitā means father. So Kṛṣṇa claims all living entities as His sons. But we may say that “Kṛṣṇa is Indian,” “Kṛṣṇa is Hindu,” or “Kṛṣṇa something.” But no. Kṛṣṇa is actually the Supreme Personality of Godhead. PROMOTION OF SELF MADE WOMEN MAYAVADI GURUS

Below is a small excerpt from the site itself which says:
“Today, Hindu women are prominent in all walks of life. Worldwide popularity has favored a number of female gurus, such as Mother Meera, “Nirmila Devi, and Amritanandamayi Devi. Indira Betti is particularly well-known in Britain. Mother Gayathri, a popular guru in Britain, is shown here.”
While Meerabai is a devotee of Krsna, rest of these so-called female gurus are mayavadi and not devotees of Krsna. For a cheap popularity as well as money making, the website has compromised to the greatest extent.
Lord Chaitanya wanted that the message should be distributed in every village and town of the globe. Let us do this service as far as possible in all seriousness. We cannot make any compromise with anyone for cheap popularity. [Letter to Brahmananda, 21st December 1967]
We may not have many followers. We don’t care for that. We don’t want these nonsense followers, many thousands. What they will do? But if we can turn one man into Kṛṣṇa consciousness perfectly, he can do tremendous work in the world. That is our principle. We don’t want nonsense. A lot more discrepancies can be found by going through the website, but here only few are listed out. The tendency to compromise must be given up immediately and pure original books of Srila Prabhupada must be replaced soon to reestablish the movement.

Please accept my blessings. I am in receipt of a copy of your last Istagosthi dated Jan. 27, and I am very much satisfied with your replies on the questions made in the Istagosthi. The meeting is called “Istagosthi” and not “Istagosthi”. YOU MAY KNOW ALSO THAT RAMAKRISHNA’S WORSHIP OF KALI MAKES HIM A THIRD CLASS MAN. In the Bhagavad-gita it is stated that one who worships the demigods just like Brahma, Siva, Indra, Candra or demigoddesses like Kali, Durga, Sarasvati, etc., are described as persons who have lost their intelligence. One person who has lost his intelligence, how he can become an incarnation of God? A person who has lost his intelligence, is not even counted amongst the higher section of society. So, the Ramakrishna is a bogus man according to the statement of Bhagavad-gita. VIVEKANANDA WAS ALSO NOT EVEN INTELLIGENT MAN BECAUSE HE ACCEPTED RAMAKRSNA AS INCARNATION OF GOD. THIS RAMAKRSNA, WHO IS ACTUALLY GADADHARA CHATTERJEE, DECLARED HIMSELF AS THE SAME RAMA AND KRSNA. IF HE IS ACCEPTED AS SUCH BY SOME PERSON, IS HE VERY INTELLIGENT MAN? ONE WHO FOLLOWS THEREFORE, SUCH BOGUS PROPAGANDA IS ALSO MISLED AS FAR AS HIS SPIRITUAL ADVANCEMENT IS CONCERNED.
You have to meet many opposing elements in the matter of preaching work therefore you should always be careful to follow the principles of Bhagavad-gita as it is. You will be glad to know that our arrangements with MacMillan for publishing Bhagavad-gita As It Is is already completed, and the manuscript is handed over to them. We should preach clearly that our Krsna Consciousness movement is surely on the basis of Bhagavad-gita as it is. Any other movement which does not tally with the principles of Bhagavad-gita as it is, is considered by us as unauthorized. All these so-called yogic or other spiritualist movements in this country imported from India are all against the principles of Bhagavad-gita. It is our movement only which strictly follows the principles of the Bhagavad-gita, under the guidance of the authorities or acaryas in disciplic succession from Lord Caitanya who practically demonstrated in life and practice the principles of Bhagavad-gita. The last word in the Bhagavad-gita is to surrender unto Krsna and Lord Caitanya taught us to surrender unto Krsna. His transcendental movement of chanting the Holy name of Krsna and Rama is the sublime movement, not only at the present age, but for all the time past, present and future.

You should always… Caitanya Mahaprabhu therefore rejects, that “This sort of philosophy propounded by Sankara is a great mistake because he has minimized the value of the Supreme Lord. By making a dog a god, he has insulted God. Therefore this Mayavada philosophy is the most offensive activities of the living being.” So you should be very, very careful, very careful.

There are two classes of men in this world. One is called daiva, and the other is called asura. Asura means rebelled against God: “Don’t care for God. I am God. You are God. Everyone is God. Why you are searching after God? There are so many Gods in the streets, lying on the footpath, daridra-narayana. You serve these Gods.” You see? This is illusion. Daridra-narayana, starving God. So many subscription are raised in America in the name of serving these daridra-narayanas in India. Now these Americans are questioning that “You take money for serving the daridra-narayana. Why we see…? When we go to India, why we see so many daridra-narayanas are lying on the footpath?” These questions are being made. One of the big Ramakrishna Mission swamis, Swami Nikhilananda, he told me. It is not my manufactured story. Actually, people are claiming welfare society, welfare activities. But what welfare they are doing actually? The welfare activities are increasing, and the candidates for receiving the welfare, they are increasing. You are trying to serve the daridra-narayana, but actually the number of daridra-narayanas are increasing daily. So that is the position. Here, practically, NARAYANA CANNOT BE DARIDRA. THAT IS ANOTHER ILLUSION. NARAYANA IS THE HUSBAND OF THE GODDESS OF FORTUNE, LAKSMI. HOW HE CAN BE DARIDRA? It is also manufactured word. Laksmi-sahasra-sata-sambhrama-sevyamanam govindam adi-purusam tam aham bhajami. Here we keep one Laksmi, but as soon as there is any little discrepancy, the Laksmi immediately becomes angry and there is divorce. Practically there is no respect from the side of Laksmi to the so-called daridra-narayana. But there, thousands and thousands of Laksmis are very respectfully serving the Lord. You’ll read in the story of Rukmini, the prime Laksmi of Lord Krsna. One day Krsna was a little joking, and she took it very seriously, and she immediately fainted. So much respect. “Oh, Krsna might be thinking of leaving me.” So she fainted immediately. So much sambhrama. Laksmi-sahasra-sata-sambhrama-sevyamanam. These are the statements of scripture. And when Krsna was actually present on the planet, He showed it, how much He is respectfully served by His sixteen thousand wives, and how much comfortably He kept all of them in different palaces, and expanding Himself into sixteen thousand forms. That is God. That is God. So everyone, even the Laksmi is servant, maidservant of Krsna, what to speak of others? Dasi. So how one can claim that “I am God”? God is not so cheap. Only persons who are illusioned, they claim that “I am God.” He is servant. Instead of becoming, voluntarily rendering service to God, because they claim to be God they are more put into illusion. Maya-grasta jivera sei dasa upajaya. It is said in the Vaisnava literature, pisaci paile yena mati-cchanna haya, maya-grasta jivera sei dasa upajaya: “Just like a person, when he is haunted by ghosts, he speaks all kinds of nonsense, similarly, when a living entity is engrossed by the illusory aspect of this material nature, he also talks all foolishly.” He also talks… One of the greatest foolish things is that he claims that “I am God.
SB 3.15.25 P Description of the Kingdom of God
Brahmaji confirms herewith that only persons who have developed the desirable qualities can enter into the kingdom of God. In the Caitanya-caritamrta, the devotee’s desirable qualities are described to be twenty-six in number. They are stated as follows: He is very kind; he does not quarrel with anyone; he accepts Krsna consciousness as the highest goal of life; he is equal to everyone; no one can find fault in his character; he is magnanimous, mild and always clean, internally and externally; he does not profess to possess anything in this material world; he is a benefactor to all living entities; he is peaceful and is a soul completely surrendered to Krsna; he has no material desire to fulfill; he is meek and humble, always steady, and has conquered the sensual activities; he does not eat more than required to maintain body and soul together; he is never mad after material identity; he is respectful to all others and does not demand respect for himself; he is very grave, very compassionate and very friendly; he is poetic; he is expert in all activities, and he is silent in nonsense. Similarly, in Srimad-Bhagavatam, Third Canto, Twenty-fifth Chapter, verse 21, the qualifications of a saintly person are mentioned. IT IS SAID THERE THAT A SAINTLY PERSON ELIGIBLE TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS VERY TOLERANT AND VERY KIND TO ALL LIVING ENTITIES. HE IS NOT PARTIAL; HE IS KIND BOTH TO HUMAN BEINGS AND TO ANIMALS. HE IS NOT SUCH A FOOL THAT HE WILL KILL A GOAT NARAYANA TO FEED A HUMAN NARAYANA, OR DARIDRA-NARAYANA. HE IS VERY KIND TO ALL LIVING ENTITIES; THEREFORE HE HAS NO ENEMY. HE IS VERY PEACEFUL. THESE ARE THE QUALITIES OF PERSONS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. That such a person gradually becomes liberated and enters the kingdom of God is confirmed in Srimad-Bhagavatam, Fifth Canto, Fifth Chapter, verse 2. The Srimad-Bhagavatam, Second Canto, Third Chapter, verse 24, also states that if a person does not cry or exhibit bodily changes after chanting the holy name of God without offense, it is to be understood that he is hardhearted and that therefore his heart does not change even after he chants the holy name of God, Hare Krsna. See in the Christian religion, it is first injunction is “Thou shalt not kill.” If you want to become religious… They are simply killing, and still, they are claiming “Christian.” What kind of Christian? Simply their business is killing. So it is very difficult to find out a Christian, although they are claiming, I am “Christian.” It is very difficult. Because their business is killing. And Lord Jesus Christ ordered, first order is, “Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not covet.” Who is following?
So sadhu is suhrdam sarva-bhutanam. Why he should allow animal killing? They are also living entities, but for their benefit, the so-called sadhu says, “The animal has no soul.” What is this nonsense? Animal has no soul? Why? Why animal has… What is the difference between animal and man? What are the symptoms of possessing the soul? They are all equal. The man also eats, the animal also eats. So anasritah, without taking shelter of the result of activities, karyam karma karo… “It is my duty.” Just like Arjuna did. Arjuna understood that Krsna wanted the fight. He took it, karyam, that “I, this, this, I must do. This I must do. Krsna wants it. Because my business is to satisfy Krsna. I cannot become nonviolent as I wanted to become falsely, ‘Krsna, I don’t want to fight with my cousin-brothers, my nephews, my grandfather.’ That was my sense gratification.” Krsna immediately said, “What kind of nonsense you are talking, that you won’t fight, won’t fight? This is not good.” Kutas tva kasmalam idam visame… “What kind of nonsense you are speaking? You have come to fight in the battlefield, and now you are talking that nonviolence. Therefore although all these Mayavadi sannyasis who called themselves Narayana were actually unaware of the position of Narayana, due to their austerities Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu enabled them to understand Him to be Narayana Himself. Lord Caitanya is certainly the Supreme Personality of Godhead Narayana appearing as a devotee of Narayana, and thus the Mayavadi sannyasis, understanding that He was directly Narayana Himself whereas they were false, puffed-up Narayanas, spoke to Him as follows.

Asammoha, freedom from doubt and delusion, can be achieved when one is not hesitant and when he understands the transcendental philosophy. Slowly but surely he becomes free from bewilderment. Nothing should be accepted blindly; everything should be accepted with care and with caution. Ksama, forgiveness, should be practiced, and one should excuse the minor offenses of others. Satyam, truthfulness, means that facts should be presented as they are for the benefit of others. Facts should not be misrepresented. According to social conventions, it is said that one can speak the truth only when it is palatable to others. But that is not truthfulness. THE TRUTH SHOULD BE SPOKEN IN A STRAIGHT AND FORWARD WAY, SO THAT OTHERS WILL UNDERSTAND ACTUALLY WHAT THE FACTS ARE. IF A MAN IS A THIEF AND IF PEOPLE ARE WARNED THAT HE IS A THIEF, THAT IS TRUTH. brahmanah sama-drk santo
dinanam samupeksakah
sravate brahma tasyapi
bhinna-bhandat payo yatha
SYNONYMS
brahmanah–a brahmana; sama-drk–equipoised; santah–peaceful; dinanam–the poor; samupeksakah–grossly neglecting; sravate–diminishes; brahma–spiritual power; tasya–his; api–certainly; bhinna-bhandat–from a cracked pot; payah–water; yatha–just as.
TRANSLATION
The great sages began to think that although a brahmana is peaceful and impartial because he is equal to everyone, it is still not his duty to neglect poor humans. BY SUCH NEGLECT, A BRAHMANA’S SPIRITUAL POWER DIMINISHES, JUST AS WATER KEPT IN A CRACKED POT LEAKS OUT.
PURPORT
Brahmanas, the topmost section of human society, are mostly devotees. They are generally unaware of the happenings within the material world because they are always busy in their activities for spiritual advancement. Nonetheless, when there is a calamity in human society, they CANNOT remain impartial. If they do not do something to relieve the distressed condition of human society, it is said that due to such neglect their spiritual knowledge DIMINISHES. Almost all the sages go to the Himalayas for their personal benefit, but Prahlada Maharaja said that he did not want liberation alone. He decided to wait until he was able to deliver all the fallen souls of the world.
