THE TRANSMISSION OF TRANSCENDENTAL SOUND
“So, God is speaking Bhagavad-gita. Just like reading, Krishna is speaking. So, hear it, God speaking, the sound. The devotees are chanting Hare Krishna, that is God, that sound is God, Sabda-brahma. This is the way. And if you want to see God, you can see also. – The real essence of sabda-brahma is the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra. By vibrating this transcendental sound, the meaning of everything, both material and spiritual, is revealed.“
The Transmission of Transcendental Sound
by Rakshana das

The quotes contained in this paper are support for the efficacy of the many forms of transcendental sound vibration imparted by the spiritual master and the Lord, especially the vibration of pure Vedic scripture as spoken by Srila Prabhupada. They are not a challenge or alternative to the eternal principle of accepting a ‘bona fide’ spiritual master and surrendering unto him. Nor are they meant to obfuscate the potential for higher understanding and taste experienced in saintly association.
Unfortunately, devotees in some Gaudiya Vaisnava societies believe that transcendental sound cannot be fully potent unless the speaker is physically present within earshot. Of equal concern is the ISKCON strategy of creating ever-new imaginative directives aimed at corralling followers into subservient impotence.
Some of the quotes are well known to quite a few devotees, although repetition of transcendental knowledge is never redundant. These quotes are simply a window toward understanding the glorious variety of spiritual relationships sanctioned by the Lord, and an opportunity to admire the qualities of all genuine devotees, regardless of status of initiation.
What we have heard from the Spiritual Master, that is living.”
Srila Prabhupada: “So although a physical body is not present, the vibration should be accepted as the presence of the Spiritual Master, vibration. What we have heard from the Spiritual Master, that is living.”
Paramahamsa: My question is, a pure devotee, when he comments on Bhagavad-gita, someone who never sees him physically, but he just comes in contact with the commentary, explanation, is this the same thing?
Srila Prabhupada: “Yes, you can associate with Krishna by reading Bhagavad-gita. And these saintly persons, they have given their explanations, comments. So where is the difficulty?” (13 January, 1969, Lecture Los Angeles)
Such association with Krishna and the spiritual master should be association by vibration, not physical presence
“Some people complain that when they pray to God they do not feel His presence. We should know that this is due to our incapacities, not God’s… The physical conception is temporary, whereas the vibrational conception is eternal. When we enjoy or relish the vibration of Krishna’s teachings in Bhagavad-gita, or when we chant Hare Krishna, we should know that by those vibrations He is immediately present. He is absolute, and because of this His vibration is just as important as His physical presence… Such association with Krishna and the spiritual master should be association by vibration, not physical presence. That is real association. We put so much stress on seeing, but when Krishna was present on this earth, so many people saw Him and did not realise that He is God; so, what is the advantage of seeing? By seeing Krishna, we will not understand Him, but by listening carefully to His teachings, we can come to the platform of understanding. We can touch Krishna immediately by sound vibration; therefore, we should give more stress to the sound vibration of Krishna and of the spiritual master – then we’ll feel happy and won’t feel separation.” (Elevation to Krishna Consciousness)
“Srimad-Bhagavatam is so made that one becomes at once engaged in the path of self-realization simply by hearing the topics
“Srimad-Bhagavatam is so made that one becomes at once engaged in the path of self-realization simply by hearing the topics. Although it is especially meant for the paramahamsas, or those who are totally engaged in self-realization, it works into the depths of the hearts of those who may be worldly men.” (Srimad Bhagavatam 1.7.8)
“The spiritual knowledge, brahma, brahma-vidya, sabda-brahma, the Vedic knowledge…Just like in the Bhagavad-gita, the words written in this book, Bhagavad-gita, although it appears like ordinary letters, they are not like that. It is Vedic vibration.” (22 March, 1974)
Guru’s business is to give you light by knowledge. Then you understand. Tasmad gurum prapadyeta jijnasuh sreya uttamam
“So that light is given by guru. Ajnana-timirandhasya jananjana-salakaya. That light is given not by bringing one torchlight, but jnananjana-salakaya, the light of knowledge. The light of…Jnananjansalakaya. Caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri gurave namah. Guru’s business is to give you light by knowledge. Then you understand. Tasmad gurum prapadyeta jijnasuh sreya uttamam. How the jnana, knowledge, light is given? Sabde pare ca nisnatam brahmany upasamasrayam. This is the guru’s system, guru’s symptom, what is guru. Sabde pare ca nisnatam. He has completely assimilated the Vedic essence of life. That is called guru. And what is sabda? Sastra, or Vedas. Sruti-sastra. Sruti means Veda, knowledge.” (19 November, 1974, Lecture)
So, hear it, God speaking, the sound. The devotees are chanting Hare Krishna, that is God, that sound is God
“So, God is speaking Bhagavad-gita. Just like reading, Krishna is speaking. So, hear it, God speaking, the sound. The devotees are chanting Hare Krishna, that is God, that sound is God, sabda-brahma.” (25 January, 1975, Lecture)
Anyone who reads the books that is also chanting and hearing
“Anyone who reads the books that is also chanting and hearing. Why distinguish between chanting and book distribution? These books I have recorded and chanted, and they are transcribed. It is spoken kirtanas. So, book distribution is also chanting. These are not ordinary books. It is recorded chanting. Anyone who reads, he is hearing.” (19 October, 1974, Letter to Rupanuga)
“So, there is nothing to be said new. Whatever I have to speak, I have spoken in my books. Now you try to understand it and continue your endeavor. Whether I am present or not present it doesn’t matter.” (17 May, 1977, Vrindavan, Arrival Conversation)
By reading daily the knowledge will be revealed to you and by this process your spiritual life will develop
“In my books the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness is explained fully so if there is anything you do not understand, then you simply have to read again and again. By reading daily the knowledge will be revealed to you and by this process your spiritual life will develop.” (11 November, 1974, Letter to Brahmarupa)
So, you have to carry on, and these books will do everything
“After 80 years, no one can be expected to live long. My life is almost ended. So, you have to carry on, and these books will do everything.” (18 February, 1976, Room Conversation)
Well the answers are there in my books
Devotee: Srila Prabhupada, when you’re not present with us, how is it possible to receive instructions? For example, in questions that may arise…
Srila Prabhupada: Well the answers are there in my books. (13 May, 1973, Morning Walk)
All questions will be answered
“So, utilize whatever time you find to make a thorough study of my books. Then all your questions will be answered.” (7 January, 1976, Letter to Upendra)
“Every one of you must regularly read our books at least twice, in the morning and evening, and automatically all questions will be answered.” (24 January, 1970, Letter to Randhira)
“This is the system of receiving instructions from the Supersoul. Externally He is not to be seen, but internally He speaks to the devotee. That is confirmed in Bhagavad-gita. The Lord dictates from within one who is sincerely engaged in His service, and the Lord acts in such a way that such a person can ultimately attain the supreme goal of life.” (Teachings of Lord Chaitanya, Chapter 23)
, and to His devotee especially He talks and gives instructions how to attain the perfectional stage of meeting Him. So, don’t feel alone
“Don’t feel yourself to be alone because Krishna is always with you. Krishna is always with every living entity as Supersoul, and to His devotee especially He talks and gives instructions how to attain the perfectional stage of meeting Him. So, don’t feel alone.” (1969, Letter to Ananda)
“So, we should associate by vibration, and not by the physical presence. That is real association.” (18 August, 1968, Lecture)
One has to associate with liberated persons not directly, physically, but by understanding, through philosophy and logic, the problems of life
“It is sometimes misunderstood that if one has to associate with persons engaged in devotional service, he will not be able to solve the economic problem. To answer this argument, it is described here that one has to associate with liberated persons not directly, physically, but by understanding, through philosophy and logic, the problems of life.” (Srimad Bhagavatam 3.31.48, Purport)
Paramananda: We’re always feeling your presence very strongly, Srila Prabhupada, simply by your teachings and instructions. We’re always meditating on your instructions.
Srila Prabhupada: Thank you. That is the real presence. Physical presence is not important. (6 October, 1977, Room Conversation)
“As far as my blessing is concerned, it does not require my physical presence. If you are chanting Hare Krishna there, and following my instructions, reading the books, taking only Krishna prasadam, etc, then there is no question of your not receiving the blessing of Lord Chaitanya, whose mission I am humbly trying to push on.” (30 June, 1974, Letter)
Without Spiritual Master you cannot be at any stage of your life. You may accept this Spiritual Master or that Spiritual Master. That is a different thing. But you have to accept. As you say that ‘by reading Bible’, when you read Bible that means you are following the Spiritual Master represented by some priest or some clergyman in the line of Lord Jesus Christ
Tamala Krishna: Can a Christian in this age, without a Spiritual Master, but by reading the Bible, and following Jesus’ words, reach the…
Srila Prabhupada: When you read the Bible, you follow the Spiritual Master. How can you say without? As soon as you read the Bible, that means you are following the instruction of Lord Jesus Christ. That means that you are following the Spiritual Master. So where is the opportunity of being without Spiritual Master?”
Madhudvisa: I was referring to a living Spiritual Master.
Srila Prabhupada: Spiritual Master is not question of…Spiritual Master is eternal…so your question is ‘without Spiritual Master’. Without Spiritual Master you cannot be at any stage of your life. You may accept this Spiritual Master or that Spiritual Master. That is a different thing. But you have to accept. As you say that ‘by reading Bible’, when you read Bible that means you are following the Spiritual Master represented by some priest or some clergyman in the line of Lord Jesus Christ. (October 1968 conversation Seattle)
“There is no difference between the spiritual master’s instructions and the spiritual master himself.” (Chaitanya-caritamrita Adi 1.35)
If you have understood this Krishna philosophy and if you have decided that you will take Krishna consciousness seriously and preach the philosophy to others; that is your initiation
“If you have understood this Krishna philosophy and if you have decided that you will take Krishna consciousness seriously and preach the philosophy to others; that is your initiation. My touch is simply a formality. It is your determination that is initiation.” (Back to Godhead Article, ‘Search for the Divine’)
“…well, initiation or no initiation, first thing is knowledge. Initiation is formality. Just like you go to a school for knowledge, and admission is formality. That is not very important thing.” (16 October, 1976, Chandigarh)
“In my books the philosophy of Krishna consciousness is explained fully so if there is anything which you do not understand, then you simply have to read again and again. By reading daily the knowledge will be revealed to you and by this process your spiritual life will develop.” (22 November, 1974, Letter to Baburupa dasa)
I will never die. I will live forever from my books and you will utilize
Reporter: Who will succeed you when you die?
Srila Prabhupada: I will never die. I will live forever from my books and you will utilize. (1975, Berkeley, Interview)
“Regarding the parampara system: there is nothing to wonder for big gaps. We have to pick up the prominent acarya and follow from him.” (12 April, 1968, Letter)
“Just like Krishna can be present simultaneously in millions of places, similarly the spiritual master also can be present wherever the disciple wants. A spiritual master is the principle, not the body.” (28 May, 1968, Letter)
“He reasons ill who tells that Vaishnavas die, when thou art living still in sound.” (Bhaktivinoda Thakur, Poem: 1914)
“He lives forever by his divine instructions, and the follower lives with him.” (Srimad Bhagavatam, Dedication, 1962)
The devotees are chanting Hare Krishna, that is God, that sound is God, Sabda-brahma.
That is prescribed here.” (28 January, 1975, Lecture)
However, the real essence of sabda-brahma is the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra. By vibrating this transcendental sound, the meaning of everything, both material and spiritual, is revealed.”
“The Vedas are known as sabda-brahma because evidence taken from the Vedas constitutes the ultimate understanding. This is because sabda-brahma, or the Vedas, represents the Supreme Personality of Godhead. However, the real essence of sabda-brahma is the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra. By vibrating this transcendental sound, the meaning of everything, both material and spiritual, is revealed.” (Srimad Bhagavatam 4.24.40)
“One must find a guru to whom one can surrender, and if this is not possible, one shouldn’t waste his time.” (Teachings of Lord Kapila, Chapter 4)
Hare Krishna – Your servant,
Rakshana das
Hare krsna, here we are , it’s said: in the beginning there was only the sound, the sound was with God, the sound is God, prakasante mahatmanah, everything get revealed to the great souls who compare everything and everyone to the sabda brahma, Srila prabhupada also used to say in the beginning there was just the chanting of MMHK , almost everyone forgot the power of the sound ,then there are a lot of secrets hidden on our ears , hiranyaksa is been killed by Sri Varaha deva by touching a specific part of his ear. So the real initiation is to get out from the material world which is the unsafest place to live and Srila prabhupada gave us the way out therefore HE is our jagat guru life after life, agtacbsp, ys, haribol
Hare krsna, wherever there is sound there’s action because without the living force can’t be sound neither action, of course it’s a science and the ear is a scientific bodily organ, golokera prema dhana harinama sankirtana, by hearing the maha mantra hare krsna daily one can know this science and go beyond that by establishing our eternal relationship with our best friend Sri caitanya mahaprabhu ki Jay, agtacbsp, ys haribol

TRANSLATION
O Lord, we pray that You let us be born in any hellish condition of life, just as long as our hearts and minds are always engaged in the service of Your lotus feet, our words are made beautiful [by speaking of Your activities] just as tulasī leaves are beautified when offered unto Your lotus feet, and as long AS LONG AS OUR EARS ARE ALWAYS FILLED WITH THE CHANTING OF YOUR TRANSCENDENTAL QUALITIES.
PURPORT
The four sages now offer their humility to the Personality of Godhead because of their having been haughty in cursing two other devotees of the Lord. Jaya and Vijaya, the two doorkeepers who checked them from entering the Vaikuṇṭha planet, were certainly offenders, but as Vaiṣṇavas, the four sages should not have cursed them in anger. After the incident, they became conscious that they had done wrong by cursing the devotees of the Lord, and they prayed to the Lord that even in the hellish condition of life their minds might not be distracted from the engagement of service to the lotus feet of Lord Nārāyaṇa. Those who are devotees of the Lord are not afraid of any condition of life, provided there is constant engagement in the service of the Lord. It is said of the nārāyaṇa-para, or those who are devotees of Nārāyaṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, na kutaścana bibhyati (Bhāg. 6.17.28). They are not afraid of entering a hellish condition, for since they are engaged in the transcendental loving service of the Lord, heaven or hell is the same for them. In material life both heaven and hell are one and the same because they are material; in either place there is no engagement in the Lord’s service. Therefore those who are engaged in the service of the Lord see no distinction between heaven and hell; it is only the materialists who prefer one to the other.
These four devotees prayed to the Lord that although they might go to hell because they had cursed devotees, they might not forget the service of the Lord. The transcendental loving service of the Lord is performed in three ways—with the body, with the mind and with words. Here the sages pray that their words may always be engaged in glorifying the Supreme Lord. One may speak very nicely with ornamental language or one may be expert at controlled grammatical presentation, but if one’s words are not engaged in the service of the Lord, they have no flavor and no actual use. The example is given here of tulasī leaves. The tulasīleaf is very useful even from the medicinal or antiseptic point of view. It is considered sacred and is offered to the lotus feet of the Lord. The tulasī leaf has numerous good qualities, but if it were not offered to the lotus feet of the Lord, tulasī could not be of much value or importance. Similarly, one may speak very nicely from the rhetorical or grammatical point of view, which may be very much appreciated by a materialistic audience, but if one’s words are not offered to the service of the Lord, they are useless.
THE HOLES OF THE EARS ARE VERY SMALL AND CAN BE FILLED WITH ANY INSIGNIFICANT SOUND, SO HOW CAN THEY RECEIVE AS GREAT A VIBRATION AS THE GLORIFICATION OF THE LORD? THE ANSWER IS THAT THE HOLES OF THE EAR ARE LIKE THE SKY.
AS THE SKY CAN NEVER BE FILLED UP, THE QUALITY OF THE EAR IS SUCH THAT ONE MAY GO ON POURING IN VIBRATIONS OF VARIOUS KINDS, YET IT IS CAPABLE OF RECEIVING MORE AND MORE VIBRATIONS.
A devotee is not afraid of going to hell if he has the opportunity to hear the glories of the Lord constantly. This is the advantage of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. One may be put in any condition, but God gives him the prerogative to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. In any condition of life, if one goes on chanting he will never be unhappy.
This is a most wonderful presentation that also includes the comments. Thank you all for this heartfelt contribution.
So when can we expect to hear the holy names in our towns and villages what to speak of cities?
Haven’t heard a peep or a note or congregational chanting on the streets of Toronto Canada for two going on three years. So, who do we really serve now? Maya by staying away from the prime service for this Kali Yuga or Srila Prabhupada by GOING OUT ‘UNRESTRICTED’ ON HARI NAM? That’s the news we all really want to hear. Better decide on GOING OUT SOON ON ‘UNRESTRICTED’ ON HARI NAM and be recognized or hide out and be left aside.
Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear-not absence of fear. Except a creature be part coward it is not a compliment to say it is brave; it is merely a loose missapplication of the word.
Charles Dowson, is there any wonderful presentation beside your usual lamentation in your comment ?
May I humbly suggest you again that you can rectify the same by your goodself while you are there.
Is there any wrong with it ?
Why don”t you do it and share with all of us here ?
That’s desirable.
Isn’t it, Charles Dowson, Prabhu ?
Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Non Sequitur!
Charles Dowson Prabhu, therefore, it is better to stop lamenting and start sharing your intelligence writing for which you are known for.
That way you can use your Wisdom to become Wise and the Wise takes the heed.
OM TAT SAT.
Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I have never lamented.
The time for talking is long over. Let those who feel their leadership qualities are best start teaching those who do not know. Srila Prabhupada set that example. It is almost a waste of time to preach to the choir. Open up Gita classes on line right here on this site. With after class questions for those who want to learn more. That way new people will flock to read and study Gita from teachers if we can find any.
In high school even if we hated the teacher we listened and learned because he was teaching from an original text and would take questions.
The very fact that there are NO on line Gita classes from start to finish simply means that we have NOBODY in our midst who is willing to teach. Imagine that, the whole world connected and we have NO GIta classes.
They are fearful otherwise we would have all experienced the echos of their classes by now. This global trend to show scriptural savvy to the choir on line while AI keeps the influence of Srila Prabhupada’s teaching edited off line is in itself a crime. The process of cutting and pasting on the internet table is not what Bhakti Yoga is all about unless there are classes given that relate directly to what is presented.
So, we either go forward with the mission by teaching or we simply atrophy and die leaving nothing for the suffering masses. We are still waiting for on line Gita class courses from the Gita Guide. You forgot? See the link again. Srila Prabhupada said many times “We are not perfect but the scripture is perfect” Paraphrase mine.
All that is Srila Prabhupada on the net will be removed in due course if the demonic AI has its way. I suspect that they have seriously edited any of the lectures and videos you find on line. If Srila Prabhupada is removed we will really be back to basics and your teaching mission will be so tough that you will cringe that you did not gather allies for the last part of this struggle while communications were still up.
While sitting with your extended families in front of the fireside and they ask what you did during the great Hare Krsna world struggle you won’t have to say “Well I shoveled shit in Louisiana”
If I was to be fortunate enough to get some on line teaching started and be able to go downtown Toronto by bus on my walker for Hari Nam I would not go on any internet sites to be met with derision with no heart or intelligence. No friendship. I’d rather be criticized one on one by an honest intelligent conditioned soul like myself than listen or read the diatribes of the cut and pasters.
Cutting and pasting is fine if there is the possibility of honest heart felt discussion. The responsibility for the cutting and pasters of this world demands the opinions of the presenter satisfy the “new readers” If not then just advertise and or give the book so that others may learn. Prabhupada is eager to teach them.
All web sites should first be dedicated to teaching on line en masse all the rest is what we call ‘side bar issues’ If not then all we really have are private although spiritual gossip pages. Not sure if you can still find this. Good luck.

Charles Dowson says ; “I have never lamented. ”
Oh really ………. look what you are writing and how you are writing determines your mind set which speaks volumes.
Under the circumstances, you can not preach to any one when you are not even hearing and taking the heed what you are suggested time and time again.
So repeating the same frustration in your writing such as “Let those who feel their leadership qualities are best start teaching those who do not know. ….. ” clearly shows your lamentation, some sort of anger, sarcasm attitude etc. Is it NOT ?
Mind you, preaching and sharing is not a challenge in some sort of a competition. It is a service, the Krishna Conscious Practitioner that renders in sharing and learning for the Spiritual advancement who so ever participates.
I have requested you many times to stop such ridiculous writing, and start sharing some sensible thoughts on Gita that you wish very much to share with everyone. Why do you not do it ? What does stop you to do it ?
If you are not happy visiting this web site, go some where that makes you happy. Certainly, your ridiculous writing is not appreciated here.
Use your wisdom to become wise, and then share your wisdom instead of ridiculous writing.
Hope it meets you well.
Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Hare Krishna , the sound can kill the sound sound can heal ,life and death is including in the sound therefore this is the proof that the sound is God but the material sound is Maya ,we lucky to have a place where to chant and hear the maha mantra hare Krishna,we still living in the sound after the so called death said the acharyas as SBVT, the spiritual sound will save us from the evil of birth and death just keeping chanting especially in this disgraced age of Kali Yuga ,at least our best friend Sri Chaitanya mahaprabhu didn’t forget us HE brought us the best ausadhi medicine ,only people who want be saved make sure to take this medicine daily by forgetting this disgraces, agtacbsp ys haribol
Hare Krishna Prabhus , quo Vadis? No sequitur, first to know where are you going, that’s means quo Vadis, haribol
Or at least write stories about the activities and service you would like to do to spread Krsna consciousnesses where ever you are. Short stories in the form of flash fiction. Those will not just be stories they will be reality. Meditating on that service in writing is non different from the service itself so those reading those stories are also gaining spiritual awareness and joy.
Keeping them to ones self or just a few friends is perfectly fine.It is that this purpose and method of mediation be shared as much as one is capable. Krsna and Srila Prabhupada are so kind that they have given us this nice simple spiritual excersize that can be done daily..And shared. He controls the complete reality and this reality cannot be controlled or influenced by the demonic nature.
Thus, we can understand that things offered by the devotees even in meditation are accepted by the Lord, and they help one achieve the desired result. Srila Prabhupada
As soon as he (the brahmana) touched the sweet rice pot with his finger, he immediately was burnt by the heat of the pot. In this way, his meditation broke

Your constant ‘Devotional Congregation Shaming Program” will not win you any supporters. You should look at your own failures rather than continually try to ‘Shame’ this site and the devotees on it.
Your own Bhagavad Gita class (over an 18 months) did not produce 1 person yet you say that there are millions eager to hear! The general populace will undergo extermination by the demons to an unprecedented rate due to their karmic overload and devotion to demonic pseudo-science and politicians who are mass-murderers and pathological liars. For the vast majority of conditioned souls this is INEVITABLE due to their karma, so it will be a much worse situation for most ‘before the coin finally drops’ and they see the illusion slowly deteriorate to virtual devastation.
I stated right at the onset of your Bhagavad Gita Course that it would not work in the current format, but you did not listen but rather want to put ‘shame’ on everybody on this site. So even now your ‘shaming’ of devotees is unrelenting, stating that presenters and commentators on this site are cowards and shit-shovelers, merely content with ‘copy and paste’ or wasting time. You should take a good hard look at yourself and correct your own misgivings and delusions before criticising all and sundry on this site for your own failures. Why then do you KEEP COMING BACK TO THIS SITE TO MAKE COMMENTS IF WE ARE ALL JUST WASTING OUR TIME?
Hare Krishna Prabhus,I agreed with HG Sudarshan Prabhu, unless one is practical in the daily challenge with the three Guna ,three klesa, samsara, one should not comment on this spiritual website, one must be a sincere follower of Srila prabhupada and not mixed with bogus misconceptions,so still learning how to think ,how to move, how to act as Hdg acbsp,He used to say : all of you can take advantage of my perfection ,to focus on the perfection achieve by our previous acharyas,of course it’s a deluded society because is far away from the Vedic culture, anyway everyone act according to the knowledge acquired through the three gunas and is forced to act under that influences until the bad karma is over, the real society is in goodness urdhvam gacchanti sattvam stho without slaughter house, global wars , misconceptions, etc….it will come later within this golden age by the mercy of the most magnanimous avatar Sri Chaitanya mahaprabhu ki jay, agtacbsp ys haribol
Dear Learned Readers,
Exposing Double standard of Hasti Gopala dasa aka Charles Dowson, (a Sakama devotee) one with the Fiskcon and other with the Prabhupadanugas.
Why I call him a Sakama devotee because he practises with material desire for name, fame and status as appeared in his writing of offering as per LINK provided below.
The address at 243 Avenue road, Toronto is the Iskcon temple managed by the deviant GBC, Self-appointed gurus replacing Srila Prabhupada in which Hasti Gopala dasa gladly participates and promotes ( with the likeminded Sakama devotees) as an offering. Here is the link ; https://www.prabhupadanugas.eu/news/?p=52949
Whereas on the following link Hasti Gopal Das aka Charles down writes taunting remarks which I find disgustingly sarcastic ,an insult intended to demoralize not only to the Writer but to the Readers also to anger and encourage reactionary behaviors without thinking when one of the Niskama devotee practitioner, dedicated and committed devotee Shriman Yasodanandana Prabhu offer his Vyas Puja offering for the service to Srila Prabhupada’s mission selflessly. Here is the LINK ; https://www.prabhupadanugas.eu/news/?p=53002
NOTE ; Please read my comments also in the comment section of both the articles for further clarification.
I wonder WHY he has a double standard ?
Is it because Hasti Gopal das has some personal vendetta of some sort with the Prabhupadanugas (devotees/followers) ?
Or, is he following the deviant gurus himself and goes there for certain PAD which he is missing, perhaps ?
Is that why he shows his anger, frustration by writing ill remarks to the Prabhupadanugas wherever and whenever he can ?
I am puzzled about his behaviour because he has been warned many times, and sad the same time as to why he behaves as such.
I guess that it is better for him to leave this group and go wherever he finds his place with his free will.
OM TAT SAT.
Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Dear Learned Readers,
From Srimad Bhagavatgita 5-13 Purport, HDG. Srila Prabhupada explains ;
” The embodied soul lives in the city of nine gates. The activities of the body, or the figurative city of body, are conducted automatically by the particular modes of nature. The soul, although subjecting himself to the conditions of the body, can be beyond those conditions, if he so desires. Owing only to forgetfulness of his superior nature, he identifies with the material body, and therefore suffers. By Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he can revive his real position and thus come out of his embodiment. Therefore, when one takes to Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one at once becomes completely aloof from bodily activities. In such a controlled life, in which his deliberations are changed, he lives happily within the city of nine gates. The nine gates are described as follows:
nava-dvāre pure dehī haṁso lelāyate bahiḥ
vaśī sarvasya lokasya sthāvarasya carasya ca.
“The Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is living within the body of a living entity, is the controller of all living entities all over the universe. The body consists of nine gates: two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, one mouth, the anus and the genital. The living entity in his conditioned stage identifies himself with the body, but when he identifies himself with the Lord within himself, he becomes just as free as the Lord, even while in the body.” (Śvet. 3.18)
Whenever the Jiva identifies oneself with the Bodily structure of Nine Gates in which the net work of ALL the Senses i.e. Knowledge acquiring senses, working senses, sense objects, Mind, Intelligence and Ahankara – False ego under the controlled dictation of the Three Modes of Material Nature, and the Jiva functions in the conception of duality of such resultant activities due to ones’ functioning consciously or unconsciously with or without the understanding of the Knowledge of the Absolute Truth, that becomes the root cause of ones’ entanglement simply for sense gratification and thus, one cannot have that peace of mind to perform the devotional service.
Therefore, a Practitioner of Kṛṣṇa conscious person must be free from both the outer and inner activities of the material body.

Dear Learned Readers,
Please pay attention to the following ;
” Therefore, a Practitioner of Kṛṣṇa conscious person must be free from both the outer and inner activities of the material body. ”
It simply appears that the present so called Gurus of all kinds of Shape, Style and Size in the present Iskcon Management are functioning under the stringent Laws of the Three Modes of the Material Nature in the conception of duality to satisfy their bodily concept of life under the disguise of devotional service.
The question is how any body sincere and serious Practitioner of cultivating Krishna Consciousness can behave as such in the deceptive consciousness, and seemingly perform the devotional service ?
It is certainly not a devotional service but service to maintain and sustain simply for the Name, Fame and its Status. That’s what it is. Isn’t it ?
Therefore, that type of service becomes the root cause of ones’ entanglement for sense gratification which drags one further into the darkness of hellish condition. Make no mistake that the punishment is inflicted severely as well by the Law of Nature. One can not have any peace of mind to perform such activities.
That is the verdict of the Sastras.
