Srila Prabhupada memory on what should be done with Child Abusers

It was in 1975 that stories of child abuse in the Dallas gurukula began to circulate. The report was that some children had been forced to drink their own urine as a form of punishment and that other children were being disciplined by covering them with a potato sack and then beating them with sticks. It was said that when the stories reached Srila Prabhupada, he recommended that the perpetrators be killed for their actions.
That the abuse came to Srila Prabhupada’s attention in 1975 was confirmed by Gopal Krishna Maharaja at the 1999 GBC meetings. He stated that while staying at the Krishna Balarama Mandira that year, Srila Prabhupada appeared very upset for several days after hearing about themistreatment of his gurukula students. Srila
Prabhupada expressed his anger and disgust towards the abusers, as remembered by another eyewitness:
“Just see, he said. “Such demons! And they are doing this in my name! They should be kicked out! But before they are kicked out, they should be hanged!”

Richard Webster: Within the Christian religion there is a strong emphasis on possible failure and forgiveness.
Prabhupāda: No. Forgiveness is… I know that in church the confession program is there. Forgiveness… Suppose you are or I am an offender. I ask your forgiveness. So you can forgive me once, twice, thrice, not more than that. You cannot make it a profession that you go on committing sins and God will forgive you. No, that is not possible. That is misconception. That is mentioned in the Bhagavad-gītā, api cet sudurācāro bhajate mām ananya-bhāk, sādhur eva sa mantavyaḥ (BG 9.30). This sudurācāraḥ, means offender, that is not willful offense. One person is accustomed to some bad habits, but he has taken to Kṛṣṇa consciousness or God consciousness. But on account of strong habit, if he fails sometimes, that is excused, forgiveness, not that willful committing sin and ask for forgiveness. That is not allowed. In common affairs we do not see. I have got practical, I mean to say, experience. In my householder life I was proprietor of a big pharmacy. So my manager sold some morphia preparation to some unauthorized person. So the sales inspector, they noted it and made us a criminal. And the magistrate called me because I was the proprietor. So my statement was given that “I do not conduct the business directly. Of course, I am responsible for my manager’s fault, but I shall be very strict in future. You can forgive me.” Immediately I was forgiven. But next time, if I go, if I say like that, that is not forgiven. That is not possible. So this forgiveness is good for accidental fault. But it cannot be continued, that is a wrong philosophy.

For those who are concerned then spend the time and the money for investigations and legal action. For the health of Srila Prabhupada’s Hare Krsna movement we all should have cut our ties with Mayas International Society for Collectivism and Nescience years ago. MISCON Better not to let the past slow down the progress of trying to make the world Krsna conscious by being distracted by topics like this old or new. That is the work of mayas tabloids. We have great sympathy for those who have suffered but their wounds are not our responsibility. The wounded must be cared for by the expert physicians not Hari Nam soldiers in the field.
We are not part of the isKcon society. Abandon them! Now understanding that we are moving ahead with our Hari Nam, book distribution and prasadam distribution in the streets will give real protection to the present and future generations. Realise that the world is at war.

INDIAN COURT SENTENCES FAITH HEALER to 14-YEAR JAIL for SEXUALLY ABUSING MINORS in JAMMU AND KASHMIR (J&K)
Introduction:
Ajuba baba (name changed), a faith healer in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for sexually abusing children who sought religious teachings from him. The court’s decision was made following a conviction on February 19, 2025.
The court said. “If this judgment serves as a catalyst for those silent voices who have long endured unspeakable trauma, struggled in the shadows of despair and now look toward the law with the last vestiges of hope, then justice has, in some measure, already begun to prevail,”
Key Points:
• The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Sopore, Mir Wajahat, announced the sentence after convicting Ajuba baba under Section 377 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) for unnatural offences against two minors.
• The court deemed Ajuba baba guilty of exploiting the children’s vulnerability and committing unnatural sexual exploitation of multiple children, exploiting their vulnerability under the guise of offering blessings. “By dominating their will, manipulating their psyche and exerting control, he subjected their bodies, minds and souls to persistent acts of brutality over the years, shrouding his crimes in ostentation while inflicting upon them the unbearable shame of his misconduct,”
• He received a seven-year sentence for each of the two victims, totaling 14 years of rigorous imprisonment, to be served consecutively.
• A fine of ₹50,000 was imposed on Ajuba baba for each victim.
• The case began in March 2016 when a Class 10 student and his father lodged a complaint at the Bomai police station about the abuse, leading to a police investigation and court proceedings starting in September 2017.
• The court noted that several witnesses provided consistent testimonies about their suffering at the hands of Ajuba baba.
• The judgment emphasized the need for justice for all potential victims and encouraged others to seek legal recourse.
Conclusion:
The court’s ruling highlights the serious nature of sexual offences against minors and aims to offer hope to victims seeking justice. The strong sentence against Sheikh serves to underline the legal system’s commitment to addressing such crimes head-on.
