My Experience with the guru impersonator Prahladananda Swami

For me the straw that broke the camel’s back concerning Isk’Con was over 30 years ago. I was serving than in the Melbourne Temple. We had a few day visit from Prahladananda Swami who is also a guru impersonator and the head of the sanyas ministry in ISKCON.

I believe at that time I was the only Prabhupad disciple in the Melbourne temple. One day someone came to me and said Prahladananda Swami wants to see you in his room. I had no idea what it was all about because I don’t know the guy from a bar of soap, so I was very curious what this might be all about and once it was revealed I was totally shocked.

The purpose for summoning me and questioning me was, whether or not I could confirm, as a godbrother, that he was an uttama adhikari. He presented me with a whole shopping list of qualifications of an uttama adhikari based on shastra. He quoted specific qualities which he thought he had already acquired . He identified with a particular quality of an uttama adhikari and then ticked that one off the list. Then another quality, tick, then another specific behaviour, tick, and so he went through his whole shopping list. “There you see, I have all those qualities, therefore, according to shastra, I must be an uttama adhikari, don’t you agree? He was like a little kid who exclaimed: “See, I made it, I am now Neo in the Matrix”.

So I understood from this point on that, what he was doing, was going from temple to temple, summoning his godbrothers or godsisters and doing his little approval scheme to get unofficially rubber-stamped as an uttama adhikari so he could feel himself to be at the top of the food chain. My guess is that most unwitting participants would agree with him because they’re just as delusional as him or at the least too intimidated to protest.

The only thing that the unfortunate clown overlooked in his infinite delusionality is that, no uttama adhikari in the history of Vaishnavism has ever considered himself an uttama adhikari, but rather sees everyone as servants of Krishna except himself. That tiny little detail he missed.

To me this encounter revealed the degree of rot within the administration of ISKCON and I realised that they’re all on that level. After that I figured that I had to leave the society and should never come back. Just like Śrīla Prabhupāda never associated with the Gaudia Math after his guru departed and strictly forbade us to associate with his godbrothers, forbade us to read their books and forbade us to give them our books. Śrīla Prabhupāda says in the Shrimad Bhagavatam: “Foolish people do not know that association is the cause for acquiring qualities, just like iron rod, placed into fire takes on the qualities of fire”.

Anyone who has really understood this will know that it is impossible to associate with FISKCON and their followers because by association they would have to gradually come down to their level.

One time one of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s godbrothers came to the temple in Vrndavan and just sat on the Vyasasan and started giving a lecture. Śrīla Prabhupāda heard through the loudspeaker system that it was not one of his disciples speaking and he inquired who the speaker was. When he was told that it was one of his godbrothers, he immediately sent his servant to tell him that he cannot speak here. The godbrother immediately got up and left the temple. So Śrīla Prabhupāda basically kicked him out.

The moment a disciple disobeys the spiritual master or even disagrees with him he immediately becomes useless and loses his link to the sampradaya. On the other hand, as soon as he corrects his mistake and once again obeys and agrees with his spiritual master he is immediately connected again.

For that reason I have completely dissociated myself from all my previous FISKCON acquaintances since at least 16 years. Anyone who does not accept Śrīla Prabhupādas rittvik system is in maya, deluded by material consciousness.

I’ve also had an interesting realisation just a short while ago. In the famous room conversation that the GBC uses to justify their guru appointment delusion, there is a point where Śrīla Prabhupāda says: “He becomes regular guru that’s all, he becomes disciple of my disciple. To me it is completely clear now what he was talking about. These fake leaders foolishly assume that regular guru refers to diksha guru. Regular guru is never diksha guru, it is either shiksa guru or vartmapradarshaka guru. Śrīla Prabhupāda said that diksha guru is very, very rare.

One can only have one diksha guru but unlimited siksha gurus. So regular guru means that he is a siksha guru for a new candidate who is inspired by him, therefore he is his siksha disciple, disciple of my disciple. We all have siksha disciples but the initiating guru within ISKCON is Śrīla Prabhupāda, because there is nobody else who is qualified to do this. Only a liberated person can absorb all sinful reactions of a prospective candidate and can guarantee to take the submissive disciple back to Godhead, sooner or later, which makes no difference. There is a quote in the Shrimad Bhagavatam where Śrīla Prabhupāda says: No one should become a spiritual master until he is self realised and has established his relationship with the Supersoul.

That means that the person must be Brahman realised and Paramatma realised before he can become an initiating spiritual master.

A current disciple of a delusional, conditioned FISKCON guru impersonator who offers food to him, eats only bhoga. Because his fake guru is no longer connected to the parampara, the food is not offered up via the chain of the succession all the way to Krishna. Conclusion: Nobody makes any advancement, neither the impersonators nor their followers. [That’s why so many devotees become sick after some time, eating bhoga, food offerde to Impersonators and Kali-Chelas]. It is very sad but typical Kali Yuga.

Śrīla Prabhupāda said that there are demons who have incarnated in human bodies and infiltrated into the management of our ISKCON and we must find them and weed them out. Unfortunately, that never happened because the demons are not going to weed themselves out. And the foolish followers are unable to distinguish the demons from the pure followers. Śrīla Prabhupāda in 1974 wrote in a letter to Bali Mardan: “Devotees should have intelligence to know who is deviating. Surrender by your intelligence but don’t surrender your intelligence”.
