Srila Prabhupada
Madhudvisa dasa, Fri, 12 Feb 2010 07:18:00 +0530: Dear Ekanatha Prabhu, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! We need to see something practical released. I do not know how long it is since the Bhaktivedanta Archives actually released any new Prabhupada archival material.
Rather you have spent so much time and energy doing other things like research to justify Jayadvaita changes to Prabhuapda’s books. Which you seem to have forgotten about now. Last time I was seriously in contact with you and Ranjit Prabhu you were all working on the JAS book changes justification project.
Before that you were working on “archiving” so many non-Prabhupada books in the folio. While the unreleased Prabhupada material rots in the archives. You have denied me access to this material many times. I wanted access to it when we made the current MP3 set and if you had permitted me to access it then we would have released it all long ago.
You have not addressed the points in my letter. You have presented that you will not release anything until everything is finished and at the same time you have expressed your doubt that it will ever be finished by saying you volunteers are very slow and you think they will all drop out when they realize how much work there is.
So you give us no hope of the material ever being released. You give us no date of the release. You do not even have a target for releasing any of this. Five years ago you reassured me that you would release all the Prabhupada audio within two years.
Now you have no idea when you will be able to release anything. You do not understand Prabhu. We want to hear from Prabhupada. We do not need to have a transcript in the folio to hear from Prabhuapda. If you want me to transcribe then release the material so I have it and can transcribe it!!!
First you need to release the material then we can transcribe it. As I have said the transcriptions are secondary and not necessary for us to hear from Prabhupada. You are: Suppressing, hoarding, keeping secret, being forced, denying, refusing to release, black mailing for donations, standing in the way in between Prabhupada and his followers, holding Srila Prabhupada’s audio hostage.
You have so much Prabhupada material that you are suppressing. We can not access it because you have suppressed it. You are hoarding it. You are keeping it secret. So many times when I or others have asked you to release it you have said, “I need money to release it” and you have many times mentioned the million dollar figure.
So you are holding the Prabhupada material in the hope that some desperate Prabhupada disciple who wants to hear from Srila Prabhupada will give you a million dollars to release the material you are hoarding.
This is black mailing for donations. This is standing in the way between Prabhuapda and his followers. You are holding Prabhuapda’s audio hostage. So Prabhu, you can not do all these things and then say “I am not doing it…” and expect anyone to believe you. If you are not doing these things then let me have access to the material.
If you will not let me have access to the material then you are coming between me and Srila Prabhupada. You are denying me access to the words of my spiritual master Prabhu. So if I come there will you give me access to all the unreleased Prabhupada material?
