“Interpretations for Sense Gratification”
Why Iskcon Leaders Reject Ritvik Initations

By Narasimha das

This discussion often arises: Why do many of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples reject his clear and common-sense order for ritvik initiations? Some devotees suggest it is due to ignorance or a misunderstanding caused by deliberate false propaganda. Others suggest it is simply because they are falsely ambitious. Others say it is due to jealousy or envy. Any or all these things may be true, but the primary reason is best described by Srila Prabhupada himself in many places, including the following letter:

Srila Prabhupada: “I have got this personal experience in my Guru Maharaj’s institution. Different Godbrothers took the words of Guru Maharaj in different interpretations for sense gratification and the whole mission [was] disrupted. This is still going on for the last 40 years without any proper settlement. I am always afraid of this crack, but I am sure if our aim is to serve Krishna sincerely and the Spiritual Master simultaneously, that will be our success. That means serve Krishna and the Spiritual Master simultaneously with equal faith and serious vow, and then success is sure. ” (Letter, Oct.18, 1969)

Srila Prabhupada often warned that personal motives among His disciples could ruin His mission. Due to personal motives for sense gratification people lose their intelligence by becoming lusty and greedy. There are no limits for those possessed by greed and false ambitions. They may commit any abominable action for their ambitions. They may even kill their own children, parents, brothers, or spiritual master. This verdict of shastra is confirmed throughout history .

For sincere, non-envious devotees, it is easy to conclude that Srila Prabhupada is the real acharya and diksa-guru for this age. He is self-effulgent. For devotees not polluted by bad association, this conclusion will be the natural result of hearing from Him, reading His books, and following His instructions without personal ambitions. Such devotees easily understand the beauty and bliss of Srila Prabhupada’s instructions for ritvik initiations.

Some points to consider:

A.) Throughout Srila Prabhupada’s books, he clearly teaches that only a fully self-realized pure devotee specifically appointed by Krishna or the maha-bhagavata acharya can become the bona fide spiritual master and impart diksha to new devotees. This is proven by innumerable scriptural quotes, and by the personal examples of many great devotees, such as Sri Gadadhara Pandit and Srila Gaura Kishora das Babaji, who did not agree to initiate their own disciples without a direct order from Lord Chaitanya or Lord Krishna.

B.) When specifically asked how initiations would be continued after his disappearance, Srila Prabhupada replied, “I shall appoint some of you to act as representatives of the AcharyaRitvik. Yes.” (Conv. May 28th, 1977)

C.) Srila Prabhupada gave many follow-up instructions, including an official signed document (July 9th, 1977) stating the same thing: ritvik initiations “henceforward.”

D.) The ritvik system was already functioning in ISKCON for many years prior. He simply sanctioned the GBC to manage it without his personal oversight. (Note: “Ritvik” is not a “vada” or philosophy. It is in fact an authorized Vedic system of management and sadhana by which priests conduct rituals under the auspices of a self-realized Acharya.)

E.) Srila Prabhupada repeatedly insisted that nothing in ISKCON management or sadhana be changed.

F.) Srila Prabhupada often explained that the guru-paramapara is continued by bona fide disciples of the Acharya. The bona fide spiritual master is never bound by external Vedic traditions. His mission is not dependent on ecclesiastical conventions, nominations of followers, popularity, the Acharya’s physical presence, or the voting and decisions of clerics.

Srila Prabhupda: “The question may be raised that since the Lord is supposed to be worshiped by great demigods like Lord Brahmā, Lord Śiva and others, how can an ordinary human being on this planet serve Him? This is clearly explained by Pṛithu Mahārāja by the use of the word yathādhikāra, “according to one’s ability.” If one sincerely executes his occupational duty, that will be sufficient. One does not need to become like Lord Brahmā, Lord Śiva, Indra, Lord Chaitanya or Rāmānujācārya, whose capabilities are certainly far above ours. Even a śūdra, who is in the lowest stage of life according to the material qualities, can achieve the same success. Anyone can become successful in devotional service provided he displays no duplicity. It is explained here that one must be very frank and open-minded (amāyinaḥ). To be situated in a lower status of life is not a disqualification for success in devotional service. The only qualification is that whether one is a brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya or śūdra, he must be open, frank and free from reservations.” (SB 4.21.33, Purport)

Unfortunately, just prior to (and immediately after) Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance in November of 1977, polluted members of the GBC made illicit plans for artificially posting themselves as acharyas through duplicity and deceit. They avoided conducting “open-minded and frank” discussions with senior Godbrothers conversant with Srila Prabhupada’s books. They acted duplicitously and avoided consulting Srila Prabhupada through His books and instructions. They decided to defy Srila Prabhupada’s many direct instructions and warnings for the sake of consulting a Gaudiya Matha sannyasi whom Srila Prabhupada had explained played a major role promoting unqualified diksa-gurus, causing severe disruptions in the Gaudiya Matha.

“A first-class leader does not make a decision without consulting, with open mind, wise experienced ministers, friends who have been faithful throughout life, and family members who have proven their love. And after taking that council and seriously considering every word of it, he depends upon the higher power of God or providence for right direction. A second-class leader, with his own intelligence, searches his own heart what’s best to do, and then after considering everything takes full responsibility. A third-class leader is one who hastily attacks or does something serious without due consideration of the pros and cons.” (The Demon Ravana, quoting the Puranas)

Unlike the first-class leaders described here, gbc men defied Srila Prabhuapda’s orders and avoided consulting Prabhupada’s books and senior disciples. Had the gbc followed the advice of their hero, the Rakshasha Ravana, they would have done the right thing. And, had Ravana followed his own advice, he would have heard the pleas of Vibhishana, his brother and well-wisher, and returned Sita to Rama.

Fortunately, despite the gbc’s deceit and false propaganda, many sincere new devotees have understood that Srila Prabhupada is the real initiator and teacher for all sincere devotees in this age. For them, Srila Prabhupada’s order for the continuation of ritvik initiations is common sense. Had Srila Prabhupada’s instructions been followed by the GBC, ISKCON likely would not have devolved into various factions of hodge-podge, quasi-Hindu organizations but would have remained a powerful spiritual movement.

Mahesh: Key point here is: SINCERE. If one is SINCERE Lord Krishna WILL give the person Srila Prabhupada the BONA FIDE DIKSA Guru—— OTHERWISE—– they get Anti Ritvik MANIPULATIVE,CHEATING CROOK as their guru:

    LCFL Life Comes From Life
Student. If somebody is actually SINCERE, will he always meet a bona fide guru?
Srila Prabhupada. Yes. Guru-krsna-prasade paya bhakti-lata-bija. Krsna is within you, and as soon as He sees that you are sincere, He will send you to the right person.
Student. And if you are not completely sincere, you will get a cheater for a teacher?
Srila Prabhupada. YES. IF YOU WANT TO BE CHEATED, KRSNA WILL SEND YOU TO A CHEATER. KRSNA IS SUPERINTELLIGENT. IF YOU ARE A CHEATER, HE WILL CHEAT YOU PERFECTLY. BUT IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY SINCERE, THEN HE WILL GIVE YOU THE RIGHT GUIDANCE. In Bhagavad-gita (15.15) Krsna says, sarvasya caham hrdi sannivisto mattah smrtir jnanam apohanam ca: “I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness.” Krsna speaks of both remembrance and forgetfulness. If you are a cheater, Krsna will give you the intelligence to forget Him forever

Prabhupāda: No, if he is SINCERE he’ll get. Yes. Guru-kṛṣṇa-kṛpāya pāya bhakti-latā-bīja [Cc. Madhya 19.151]. Guru and Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is within you. As soon as He sees that you are SINCERE, He’ll give you the right person.

    • “So Sanatana Gosvami is guru. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is authorizing him to become guru. This is parampara system. Nobody can become guru all of a sudden. Self-made guru, that is not guru.”
      (Srila Prabhupada lecture 11/17/76)

We now have those same fools posing as mis-leaders/bogus gurus of Iskcon,
who rejected Srila Prabhupada orders of ritvik and kept changing his books,
promoting the governments injections of experimental depopulation vaccines, taking the poison injections themselves and telling their blind disciples and community to follow the government’s advice.

Our prayers been been answered, all these fools obeying these demonic governments agendas will be killed off, especially the demons in Iskcon, one way or another by Lord Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra.

Now, we must prepare ourselves worldwide. We been stocking up on food & original books, ready for preaching when this happens & getting our immune system strong by living on our off-grid/solar mountain organic farm in South India, growing our own food and doing strong daily sadhana, avoiding any government contact or rules.

If you think everything going to be the same, like before, you better join ISKCON, get the jab and keep dreaming.

    Dear Readers,

From the above cited conversation, it is abundantly clear with regard to the intention of the Seeker seeking and following the teaching of the bonafide Spiritual Master’s VANI.

” Honesty is the best policy,” as the saying goes.

If some one is honest and sincere with his intention in seeking and following the bona fide Spiritual Master’s VANI, Paramatma the Lord Shri Krishna seated in every ones’ heart certainly guide and direct that Jiva according to the desire of the Jiva towards the right bona fide Spiritual Master. Of this, there is no doubt about it.

That is why we have seen many followers are abandoning the bogus gurus and joining to follow Srila Prabhupada,s VANI where ever it is possible.

For those who are mixed feelings with the dishonesty to themselves, Lord Krishna guides them also accordingly to their propensity of thinking, feeling and willing to follow suit with the Cheaters of all kinds in name sake of Vaishnava followers and gurus alike to get cheated by the cheaters. That’s why these Cheaters gurus of all kinds not only in the present Iskcon but other Vaishnava Maths also are there for simply to gratify their ambition of name, fame and status only.

What else can be more clearer than this explanation as explained in the above conversation of Srila Prabhupada quoted by Shriman Mahesh Raja ?

That is why Srila Prabhupada’s followers, devotees world wide openly discuss Srila Prabhupada’s VANI As It Is with every one for the benefits of Sincere Seekers who are honest but bewildered /confused to help and guide them to bring back under the protection of Srila Prabhupada’s VANI in order to cultivate Krsna Consciousness to go back Home Back to Godhead.

    OM TAT SAT.

Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

  3. Pamho Prabhus agtacbsp,I completely agreed with HG Mahesh raja, this world is not safe without following the instructions of HDG Acbsp but all these shameless donkey can’t escape I mean they are destroying everything including themselves and still don’t given up their fake positions plus the robbery to our guru Maharaj, I don’t want to do speculation but I can see the future of the stolen iskcon will end soon because Sri Sri guru & gauranga got fed up by all these wretches I’m surprised they still got time to play the dangerous game of false guru and disciple,is true that lord Chaitanya mahaprabhu is very merciful to let all these low class Kali Chela citizens of Kali Yuga to take over Sri Krishna property , that’s why they do not accept the ritvik system left by Srila prabhupada, all these charlatans gave a bad reputation to the real hare krsna, many people rejected krsna consciousness because of the big chaos they are still making but until they get the last beat up then they can understand what big problem they had created , anyway almost fifty years gone and we are still waiting for justice to be done because of lack of Kshatriya,at the moment our senapati is SRI SRI guru & gauranga,THEY will send us some good Kshatriya very soon,we hope so, agtacbsp ys haribol

  4. One who does not dedicate everything to the Supreme Lord is described in this verse as aviduṣa, a rascal. In Bhagavad-gītā (7.15), the Lord Himself speaks in the same way:

    na māṁ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ
    prapadyante narādhamāḥ
    māyayāpahṛta-jñānā
    āsuraṁ bhāvamāśritāḥ

“Those miscreants who are grossly foolish, lowest among mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who partake of the atheistic nature of demons, do not surrender unto Me.” Because of ignorance and misfortune, the atheists and the narādhamas, the lowest of men, do not surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore although the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa, is full in Himself, He appears in different yugas to demand the surrender of the conditioned souls so that they will benefit by becoming free from the material clutches. In conclusion, the more we engage in Kṛṣṇa consciousness and render service unto the Lord, the more we benefit. Kṛṣṇa does not need service from any of us.

    -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

    Dear Readers,

So, puffed up gbc. gurus of all kinds as good as God, who are yarning being hungry for certain name, fame and status etc. do not surrender unto the Lord because of their ” Iccha and devesha “.

The Bhakti Yogi Practitioners practise Krsna Consciousness selflessly, free from any material desire as instructed by Srila Prabhupada in His VANI.

Therefore, these people remain in ignorance and misfortune, the atheists and the narādhamas, the lowest of men, in the dress of Vaishnavas. That is very dangerous. As a result of it, people in general are misled.

    OM TAT SAT.

Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

  5. “Next you ask if I am present in my picture and form? Yes. In form as well as in teachings. To carry out the teachings of guru is more important than to worship the form, but none of them should be neglected. Form is called vapu and teachings is called vani. Both should be worshiped. Vani is more important than vapu.”

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, December 14, 1972)

    -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

    Dear Readers,

HOW can some body with the SANE mind even think to change Srila Prabhupada’s Instructions and His BOOKS ?

One has to be totally INSANE with the Rakashasa Budhi to bring any change in Srila Prabhupada’s Instructions. Those who follow these blind leaders/gurus in the present Fiskcon lead their followers in the darkness of hell devoid of the torch light knowledge from Srila Prabhupada’s VANI.

The question comes, do these followers of the bogus gurus achieve or earn any Spiritual Merit ?

The answer is obviously NO. Because the Sastras say that the Krishna Consciousness Practitioner must be free from all material desire i.e. sense gratification to attain Spirituality.

They may get material benefit as per their desire for sense gratification purpose only, as the gurus/gbc in the present FIskcon are enjoying Name, Fame and Status temporarily.

That’s it and that’s all. So, it is an individual choice to choose from either to serve the personal bodily senses or to serve the Master of the Senses under the bona fide Guru His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada’s VANI.

So, it is your FREE WILL to choose.

    OM TAT SAT.

Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

  6. Nitti-Shastras say:

A king is ruined through bad advisers,
    A Sanyasi through bad company,
    A son through overindulgence,
A Brahmin through lack of studying shastras,
A business or a farm through neglect,
And a family and character through contact with bad people

All of the above examples have been ruined by their own unrestrained mind and senses and by the unfavourable ASSOCIATION of other souls predominantly in the modes of ignorance and passion in for it for their own advantage.

Narasimha Prabhu says in his article:

“A first-class leader does not make a decision without consulting, with open mind, wise experienced ministers, friends who have been faithful throughout life, and family members who have proven their love. And after taking that council and seriously considering every word of it, he depends upon the higher power of God or providence for right direction.

    ================

This is a great comparison. We can see all conditioned souls, devotees, nondevotees, so-called gurus make mistakes (not always obvious at first glance) because of greed/want/need of money, woman, fame, etc., thereby creating enmity with former friends. For easy (comfortable) living giving, some give up (neglecting) the valuable instructions of their well-wisher Srila Prabhupada. It is the same as working a karmijob for money. The big difference is the last is honest, the first is cheating ( oneself and the donors in the name of Srila Prabhupada ).

…As with any plant, if we stop pouring water on it, it will dry up and not produce any fruit, so the plant of Krishna consciousness must be constantly watered by the process of hearing and chanting. Maya is so strong, so powerful, that as soon as she sees an opportunity she will at once try to dry the plant up….

One cannot have both. Either one is AT LEAST trying to follow Srila Prabhupada’s instructions or if not, than Maya Devi, IN PROPORTION to one’s disobedience, will let one slide into PSEUDO SPIRITUALITY/ FAKE SPIRITUALITY.

PSEUDO SPIRITUALITY = ILLUSION> KARMA > BECOMING FEARFUL>DISCONTENTMENT (shown in one’s envious behaviour toward other souls) and eventually punishment from Yamaraja, in waiting!!

That is the opposite of real spirituality: being happy, blissful and content in one’s situation and one’s relationship with Krsna.

    ====================

    S.B. 8.19.26
    TRANSLATION
A brāhmaṇa who is satisfied with whatever is providentially obtained is increasingly enlightened with spiritual power, but THE SPIRITUAL POTENCY OF A DISSATISFIED BRAHMANA DECREASES, AS FIRE DIMINISHES IN POTENCY WHEN WATER IS SPRINKLED UPON IT.

    ================

    So much to so-called gurus.

Everyone in the prison of his material body is struggling very hard day and night, each minute of the day, in following the commands of his mind and his senses, by which one start’s the chainreaction of Illusion, Mistakes and Cheating. There is NO WAY OUT of this vicious cycle, it’s like playing DOMINO, once the the first stone falls all other stones will also fall.

The mind is so strong and obstinate that it sometimes OVERPOWERS the intelligence, although the mind is supposed to be subservient to the intelligence. That’s why Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura has said that one has to beat one’s rebellious mind EVERY MORNING with a broomstick and EVERY EVENING with shoes. In this way, depending on one’s efforts in pursuing Krsna consciousness, the day will be either a victory, a draw or a defeat.

    =================

As for karmic reactions for an unintentional tiny mistake (categorised as impious activity) the famous example is King Nrga :

    KRSNA BOOK CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR
    The Story of King Nṛga

…Actually this large lizard was King Nṛga, and when he was questioned by the Supreme Personality of Godhead he immediately bowed down before the Lord. He then said, ”My dear Lord, I AM THE SON OF KING IKSVAKU, and am King Nṛga. If you have ever taken account of all charitably disposed men, I am sure You must have heard my name….

…AFTER THIS INCIDENT, WHEN THE TIME CAME FOR THE KING TO GIVE UP HIS BODY, HE WAS TAKEN BEFORE YAMARAJA, the superintendent of death. YAMARAJA asked him whether he wanted to first enjoy the results of his PIOUS ACTIVITIES or first suffer the results of his IMPIOUS ACTIVITIES King Nrga decided to first suffer the results of his impious activities and then to accept the results of his pious activities; therefore YAMARAJA immediately turned him into a lizard….

A LOOK AT KING NRGA’S ANCESTRY

    S.B.6.6.40
Samjna, the wife of Vivasvan, the sun-god, gave birth to the Manu named Sraddhadeva, and the same fortunate wife also gave birth to the twins Yamaraja and the River Yamuna.

    BG4.1

The Blessed Lord said: I instructed this imperishable science of yoga to the sun-god, Vivasvān, and Vivasvān instructed it to Manu, the father of mankind, and Manu in turn instructed it to Ikṣvāku.”

    S.B.4.30.49

    As stated in Bhagavad-gita(8.17):
“By human calculation, a thousand ages taken together is the duration of Brahmā’s one day. And such also is the duration of his night.” Brahmā’s one day consists of one thousand cycles of the four yugas—Satya, Tretā, Dvāpara and Kali. In that one day there are fourteen manvantaras. The various Manus existing in one day of Lord Brahmā are as follows: (1) Svāyambhuva, (2) Svārociṣa, (3) Uttama, (4) Tāmasa, (5) Raivata, (6) Cākṣuṣa, (7) VAIVASVATA (8) Sāvarṇi, (9) Dakṣasāvarṇi, (10) Brahma-sāvarṇi, (11) Dharma-sāvarṇi, (12) Rudra-sāvarṇi, (13) Deva-sāvarṇi and (14) Indra-sāvarṇi.
The present age is under the control of Shraddhadeva= Vaivasvata Manu. Each Manu lives 4,320,000 years multiplied by 71. The present Manu has already lived for 4,320,000 years multiplied by 28.

    Note:

“Some other children of the sungod Vivasvan with his wife Samjna were YAMARAJA and the River Yamuna”.

From this we can understand that YAMARAJA is the brother of Vaivasvata Manu, the current Manu, whose son is Iksvaku whose son is Nrga. This makes Yamaraja the great uncle of King Nrga.

This episode of King Nrgas unfortunate ” mistake ” happened in the beginning of this manvantara some 4,320,000 x 28 = xxx years ago.

The question now arises, that we always think that only materialistic humans have to go to YAMARAJA for judgement. This than is not the right conclusion. If King Nrga, this most outstanding, pious, most charitable personality, a demigod and a close relative of YAMARAJA (his great uncle) had to answer for his tiny mistake to his CLOSE RELATIVE Yamaraja, that means than that EVERYBODY in all kinds of the 400,000 human species of living entities is called for judgement, wether good or bad, demigod, human or demon, ALL are called to YAMARAJA to answer for their deeds.

As stated in Bg.4.1. Maharaja Iksvaku is in the line of guruparampara, King Nrga is his son and Yamaraja is the brother of King Nrga’s grandfather, Vaivasvata Manu. What an ancestry, what a family of great devotees and Yamaraja is one of the twelve Mahajanas.

We can see that in King Nrgas case, he must have been a devotee too, otherwise Lord Krsna would not have touched him with his hand, talked with him and King Nrga was able to please the Lord with his prayers, which meant liberation for him. Also we can see that the punishment of a pure devotee like Yamaraja was a blessing for his nephew King Nrga.

So it seems that also devotees will have to go see Yamaraja if they are not VERY, VERY, VERY CAREFUL.

    ===========================

Knowing that one will have to go see Yamaraja:

Why would one even dare proclaiming himself a pure devotee despite that one’s actions speak otherwise ?
Why would one even dare to insult and offend a pure devotee by belittling his achievements ?

Why would one even dare to insult, condemn and threaten other devotees in all kinds of ways ?

BECAUSE THEIR MINDS HAVE OVERPOWERED THEIR INTELLIGENCE, THAT’S WHY !

King Nrga’s ONLY teeny weeny mistake, counted as impious activity, was a cow, which he had given as a gift, who had by coincidence returned without his knowledge, and than by chance he gifted that same cow to some other brahmana and for that he was punished by Yamaraja and turned into a lizard.

    WOW

    =========================

If one knows he is going to drown by jumping off the boat, why he is still jumping? If one knows he is going to loose the fight with a stronger opponent, why does he start the fight?

It is by NOT understanding one’s real self interest, being covered by illusion, by NOT listening to one’s real well-wisher Srila Prabhupada, by NOT following the advice of friends, other devotees, that in times of need have given help and shown their loyalty, that one is deceived by one’s selfish desires (acted out through his uncontrolled mind and the senses). LIKE IN THE CASE OF RAVANA whose intelligence was outsmarted by his own devilish, greedy mind to enjoy Sita Devi, or for that matter any devotee who acts careless for sense enjoyment and thinks himself smarter than the pure devotee Srila Prabhupada.

King Nrga was the greatest charitable, pious, fortunate personality, the son of Maharaja Iksvaku.

    We are …..? NOTHING.

King Nrga’s direct family member was his grandfather Vaivasvata Manu’s brother Yamaraja.

    We are … ? NOTHING.

King Nrga was born as the greatgrandson of the sungod Vivasvan.

    We are… ? AGAIN NOTHING?

NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING….with a view onto our insurmountable, huge mountain of accumulated impious activities, gathered throughout millions of lifetimes, we should be crouching in front of the Holy Name begging, crying out loudly for His mercy.

We should be, are we ? At least this fallen soul still has a long way to go.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada !

    • Mahesh Raja says:

Note: one VERY important part of the story of King Nrga is Lord Krsna’s instructions: His punishment of those who ill treat a brahmana. Lets remember that Srila Prabhupada is a PURE VAISNAVA BRAHMANA and BECAUSE the Anti Ritvik CROOKS who have usurped his Diksa guru position, given poison to him, stolen his disciples, properties, ill-treated and driven away devotees, stolen money, changed his Original books they WILL be: AN INSECT IN STOOL and —-that—- is just the beginning of their transmigration. There are 8,400,000 species of life forms to go thru—and—-CAN—- be REPEATED.

KB 64 The Story of King Nrga
Lord Krsna continued: “If some foolish king who is puffed up by his wealth, prestige and power wants to usurp a brahmana’s property, it should be understood that such a king is clearing his path to hell; he does not know how much he has to suffer for such unwise action. If someone takes away the property of a very liberal brahmana who is encumbered by a large dependent family, then such a usurper is put into the hell known as Kumbhipaka; not only is he put into this hell, but his family members also have to accept such a miserable condition of life. A PERSON WHO TAKES AWAY PROPERTY WHICH HAS EITHER BEEN AWARDED TO A BRAHMANA OR GIVEN AWAY BY HIM IS CONDEMNED TO LIVE FOR AT LEAST 60,000 YEARS AS MISERABLY AS AN INSECT IN STOOL. Therefore I instruct you, all My boys and relatives present here, do not, even by mistake, take the possession of a brahmana and thereby pollute your whole family. If someone even wishes to possess such property, let alone attempts to take it away by force, the duration of his life will be reduced. He will be defeated by his enemies, and after being bereft of his royal position, when he gives up his body he will become a serpent. A serpant gives trouble to all other living entities. My dear boys and relatives, I therefore advise you that even if a brahmana becomes angry with you and calls you by ill names or cuts you, still you should not retaliate. On the contrary, you should smile, tolerate him and offer your respects to the brahmana. You know very well that even I Myself offer My obeisances to the brahmanas with great respect three times daily. You should therefore follow My instruction and example. I shall not forgive anyone who does not follow them, and I shall punish him. You should learn from the example of King Nrga that even if someone unknowingly usurps the property of a brahmana, he is put into a miserable condition of life.”

Puṣṭa Kṛṣṇa: You said that the different living entities in lower forms of life, they’ve attained those lower forms of life due to their work in the human form?

Prabhupāda: Yes. A criminal is freed, but if he again commits criminal…, criminality, then again he’s put into the jail. Like that. [indistinct] …his freedom, now make your choice. BUT IF YOU MISUSE IT, THEN AGAIN GO. Mām aprāpya nivartante mṛtyuḥ saṁsāra vartmani [Bg. 9.3]. [break] …go home back to Godhead. But if we do not take the chance, and misuse it, like animals, then again we go down. The process is to go back to home, back to Godhead, eternal life, blissful life. And other process is the cycle of birth and death in different species of life. So this human form of body is to make choice whether he wants to continue the cycle of birth and death in different species of life, or he wants to go home, back to Godhead. [break] …mad-yājino ‘pi yānti mām [Bg. 9.25]. He’s Kṛṣṇa conscious when he goes back to home, back to Godhead. [indistinct] species of life, according to karma, they’re going to be fish. From fish, by nature’s way, leads to the plants, then insect. In this way… Then birds, then beasts, again human being. Again another birth. In this way they are… Bahūnāṁ janmanām ante [Bg. 7.19]. Similarly, after many, many births, when he comes to his senses, that “I have enjoyed very much. Now let me go back home…” Vāsudevaḥ sarvam iti… . Mām prapadyante. [Bg. 7.14]: “Kṛṣṇa save me, take me.” Sa mahātmā sudurlabhaḥ. Such mahātmā, great soul, who has accepted that Kṛṣṇa is everything, that is very, very rarely found. Manuṣyāṇāṁ sahasreṣu [Bg. 7.3]. After many, many millions. ¶
